He sure has one of the weirdest designs in MLP with that long face alone. The actual Ahuizotl of Aztec mythology was a bit different too, ours seems to lack spines and an affinity to water.

It looks very tense due to the fact that they are so close to each other and the fast-looking movement of Ahuizotl's tail. The pony's wings have smooth and also cool positions and it was a good idea to put the ring between her
teeth, which among the wings make her look like a professional. Both of the characters have believable and penetrating expressions.Β

Awesome work on this piece. I'm so glad that this character have not been thrown away. But I never expected they would made three books. Now, I wonder if we'll get an episode this season with the daring golden mare.
As for the design, he's probable the only villain haven't been "beautified". The others looks great and have a great and strong presence. I would even dare say cute (except Tirek). No ugly, monstrous, deformed villain who cold give the creeps by its appearance alone.
I still can't believe dare to even ship those two. I'm serious.
