Some homework that I've really left to the last minute. We're supposed to do our take on a pre-existing story, so I'm doing "The Raven" by the Grimm brothers. I've modified it a little, so that there's more background to the characters/ the villain is a stupid prince instead of the overdone witch.
From left to right: Freddy, a blacksmith's apprentice and the protaganist. He's cheerful and a little niave, but tries to do what he thinks is right. Has to be brave when his actions gets his friend kidnapped and he is given the responsibility of getting her back.
Princess Evelyn, the quasi-love interest. She is a young lady in hiding from an unwanted engagement to her creepy, older cousin. She's very stubborn and can be childish, but she is enchanted with Freddy's kindness towards her. She's never met a boy outside of the court life and his simpleness fascinates her. Oh, and she can transform into a crow so long as she's wearing her anklet.
Granny, the witch who helped Evie escape from her home and put the transfiguring spell on her. She loves the girl dearly and wants her to be happy. She seems to be able to sense the future and likes the little blacksmith boy.
Dent, the giant. Initially planned on eating Freddy when the two first met, but took the boy's offering of never-ending bread instead and became his friend. He takes him to the Golden Castle and helps him run a shop while they spend a year trying to come up with a plan to break in.
Prince Malcifer, is a dick of a rich guy. He thinks he's this great magician or whatever, but people just kinda of tolerate him because he's next in line for the crown. He loves his cousin and wants to get married. Evie thinks he's just really weird.
