Introducing Keychain Dragons, a super simple open species that has plenty of room for creativity! If you make one, feel free to add them to the keychain dragon world! I'd love to see.

Keychain dragons are so named because they have the ability to transform into a keychain when startled or afraid. The design of the keychain dragon and the keychain itself can vary wildly in shape and color, so feel free to get creative!

Keychain Dragon Traits:

Scales- All Keychain dragons have scales that are made entirely of plastic. The plastic can be any texture or color, from bumpy to smooth or even crinkly like a wrapper. However, it must be made of plastic.

Ears- All Keychain dragons have two visible ears. Once again, these ears come in a wide range of shapes and varieties, so get creative! Deer-shaped ears are the most common, but any shape will do.

Horns and/or Fins- Most Keychain dragons have a number of horns or fins on their head. These horns/fins may also be on their tails, noses, cheeks, backs, elbows, etc. They can be any shape and size but are not required. They can also have webbed feet, though this is also not required.

Wings/Tail- All Keychain dragons have two webbed wings. These wings can be any size and shape but must be webbed. In addition, all Keychain dragons have a long, rope-like tail that tapers at the end.

Pouch- All Keychain dragons have a kangaroo-like pouch on their tummy that they use for storing hoarded goods.

Key Ring- All Keychain dragons must have a key ring present somewhere in their design. It may be around their neck, head, arms, tail, etc. but it must be present. It can be any color, shape, or size, and corresponds to the key ring in their keychain form. This is what keychain dragons use to transform between dragon and keychain form, and they guard their key ring fiercely!

Additional Information:

In terms of size, keychain dragons range from about three to six inches in dragon form. They have a tendency to choose one small object to hoard- in Scribbles' case, this object is buttons! They can live anywhere on earth; with the exception of the ocean, that is (they cannot breathe underwater). Some keychain dragons even befriend humans and give them objects from their hoard as a sign of friendship. Examples of a keychain dragon's home could include a tree stump, tissue box, or even a discarded bird's nest! They are very tough and versatile little creatures.
