This fictitious anti-ship guided missile named "Shōryū" is a special in a alternate history novel "Hasha no Senjin" written by Japanese science fiction writer Kōshū Tani. I wish there was more Sci-Fi/Alternate history focusing on Imperial Japan. Everyone knows what the Nazis did, but not many people are as Familiar with the atrocities the Japanese committed on Asia.

Yes, they have many points of likeness, such as an aim (to attack ships outside of their anti-air defense) or warhead (250 kg). But Shōryū has easy guiding systems using radar wave receiver.
I love Betty!! and the shape of B4M4 is cool.
But P1Y is more better as a base plane for jet propulsion because it was designed for high speed.

Wow this is a awesome and interesting picture, would definitely make the Nakajima types more effective.
It's strange though I had thoughts before of how history would be changed if a anti-ship missile armed TU-95 could be sent back in time to the WW2 era.

Yeah, WWII was a long and large war but it was "only" six years for research and development.
So there were many too-late weapons.

Not sure if you have seen that site but it's a interesting one, the Germans had some paper projects way ahead of their time.
Would definitely be interested in finding Hasha no Senjin, though not sure if it would be translated in english or not.

Yeah~, the style of Shinden especially side air intakes is deeply associated with jet propulsion.
German paper projects were achieved in USA and USSR in a sense.
Unfortunately "Hasha no Senjin" is not translated into English.
But you can read other works written by Kōshū Tani on web.
