Description This was going to be one of many pictures, but I quit sometime in the middle of them.

The only ones I really got "Done" were the two mario pics I submitted earlier. As you can see I left no room for tiny pictures of characters in the back, not that Twilight Princess has all that many interesting supporting characters.

Thats right, I was gonna do a pic for every Zelda Era.

Aw...you should've done all the Zelda eras. I would personally think you would do a good Majora's Mask one. But I'm not begging. (In deep mind: Please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE!) <---No, I'm kidding.

Man, that's why people only draw the Links. Too mind-numbingly difficult to do every major character in every game. Although it'd be cool to see the helpers with Link. (i.e. Midna, Tali, Navi...) If you ever go on with this I will try to help you all I can.

I just wish I had the money and the patience to color with fancy computer programs.

Color Pencils Mixed with Marker just dont look so good when scanned...to me anyways.

I switch between using two programs: OpenCanvas and GIMPshop. OpenCanvas is pretty good to use if you have a tablet, even if you have a mouse, things can come out pretty good...and GIMPshop is essentially The GIMP modded to have the same setup as Photoshop, seeing as The GIMP has a lot of the same functions. It works good and you can follow through most Photoshop tutorials on here with it without a lot of difficulty. Importing Photoshop brushes is a bit of a...peculiar process with it though. I try to keep my lineart with OpenCanvas and color with GIMPshop...GIMPshop's lines aren't as precise as OpenCanvas in some parts...

You know what...?

Most people go offa a scanner or a camera and a drawing. Then there are a few more who can use Photoshop or Paint. Then there are a small handful like you who can afford nice software that makes everything look fancier. And to those people all I have to say is this...

" 'YOU RIP-OFF ARTISTS!' *kicks you in shins" Sorry, me and cartoons don't mix sometimes...

*grunts and falls down to her knees* But GIMPshop and OpenCanvas 1.1...*winces at pain of shin kicking*...are free programs!

GIMPSHOP simply GIMP with the interface made up to look like Photoshop. GIMP has many of the same features as Photoshop, just named differently...so GIMPshop just makes the interface and names more consistant. It isn't entirely by the book like Photoshop, and it hasn't been updated in quite sometime, but it gets the job done if you don't wanna shell out 600 bucks for Photoshop or whatever the price for Elements is...and you can follow through with most Photoshop tutorials no problem. It doesn't accept Photoshop brushes, but there are sites that show you what you need to do to convert them.

Of course, if you want to use The GIMP by itself, which is updated more than GIMPshop, its available here. The newest version makes it a heck of a lot more easier to import brushes that were originally intended for Photoshop.

If you want a program with a simpler interface that is more in tune with what you can create with traditional media that also has the capablility to let you network with friends and replay other people's "event files", which lets you see just HOW they did a drawing, OpenCanvas is a good choice. The lines come out a lot smoother than what I've been able to get with GIMPshop, seeing as its just for those who just want to cut to the chase and draw something. The things you can make with it can come out just as amazing as stuff from Photoshop, some of the coolest Sonic fanart I've seen comes from an artist called , who uses this program. The program used to be free, but the latest versions are NOT and don't have the networking feature. Most people I know are still using the final release of the free version, OpenCanvas 1.1, because its well, free, and has, well, networking. Doodle with your friends.

[link to a guide with link to the program (the free OpenCanvas 1.1) and a good guide to the program]

I tend to use OpenCanvas for lineart and GIMPshop for coloring and effects. I do both traditional, digital, and traditional imported onto the computer then spruced up in a digital program, so please don't kick me in my e-shins again. D:
