I love the personality you've given Mickey for these storybits, it's just... refreshing! It's very unlike his typical nature and yet it's so very believable.

I could definitely see that in this Mickey (Plane Crazy comes to mind).
The tweaking is what made it epic!

While I don't have any direct plans for the yo-yo to make another appearance(though that can be subject to change), one of the running gags of the story will be that Mickey uses weapons disguised as toys, highlighting the mischievous boy-like side of him.

So this was the story that I was daydreaming about this morning. Creepy that it's the one you chose to work on. : )
I think this is the best-written bit for this story yet, and that's saying something (I really enjoyed the engagement party bit and the harem-girl-in-the-bar bit). I was really able to imagine and empathize with Minnie's emotions throughout, especially when she got so mad at Mickey. Which was surprising, because normally I just feel uncomfortable with those kinds of plot twists.
I have only one problem with this story (and with a couple of other stories). You see, I have gotten very good at reading dialogue in my head in the voice of the character, and pirate!Mickey does not seem to be compatible with the normal Mickey voice. And I keep getting confused, not knowing if I should let him have a normal pirate voice or if I should try to give his regular voice a pirate accent.
I for one am so glad you keep writing these. I always grin when something from you is in my inbox.

Clearly my psychic powers are improving.
I am a little proud of this bit, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do understand the problem with the dialect - writing Mickey's dialect, pirate or otherwise, is actually one of the hardest things for me, because he can speak so differently in several of his 'incarnations', and I thought that digressing to simple pirate speech would just make it all easier. But I really shouldn't cut corners, and I need to find a good middle mix between Mickey's regular speech and pirate yar har har talk.

UMMM I am kind of going to need you to write this fic from start to finish so that I can read it memorize it and print it out and sleep with a copy under my pillow at night.
So yeah.
