This is beautiful in it's own right. I hope to learn to do dark room before long, could you explain to me how these weird overlay effects are done?

its not actually darkroom (but its possible to do via standard modern photographic way)
its vintage alternative process about 100 years old - cyanotype. try to google this term and you will find something about it. uts quite simple to do it. the only problem is to take some "large format" negative and also to get 2 basic chemicals (I dont know their names in english, but you can find it out).
The process is done on daylight (therefor its not "darkroom")
