Description This is a rather cynical view on the possible scenario of relationships between young people (I was in high school when I drew this, afterall).
What I've had to explain about this piece to some people is that both characters are holding knives behind their backs, the guy's knife is just more obvious. I like the idea of the knives being a little more subtle but apparent enough to be seen, so I might consider re-drawing this at some point, or maybe even re-producing it in another media, possibly even photography.

Well, I should probably consider the possibilities some other time.
Regarding my personal thoughts toward the piece, I still think it has some strength on its own, but would still benefit from the aforementioned knife viewing. This was also one of my first instances of getting the hang of drawing feminine figures (this was drawn almost a year before 'The Ringmaster' in fact). It was also one of the first of these sort of drawings I had real fun not just drawing but playing around with. Even if it was to a small extent; using graphite as the 'background' and creating the text by rubbing out part of it was different to what I've done beforehand and brought out an interesting result.
I think this piece is something I could (and most likely will) experiment with further and I look forward to seeing any results.

This is pretty cool, indeed, but try to make the mouths more believable, at least when they're toothy and somewhat realistic.

I'm sorry, you've kind of confused me there. I'm not sure if you're saying the mouth being "toothy" is a good thing or not...
:/

A toothy mouth is fine too, but you need to take a look at how mouths look in various stages and genres of contortion, as well as how the mandible plays a role in most.
