Description A very rare, middle sized planteater from the polar regions. We know nearly nothing about this animal beside it's appearance and it's diet.

Judging by its short legs and strange, mushroom-like exoskeleton, I'm going to guess these guys would shuffle around in the underbrush, camouflaged among mushrooms and the sort.

Very creative, even with little info!

Silvanus have no mushrooms, the structures on their back are more for visual communication than for camouflage

What a cool looking creature. So what does it eat, anyways?

I'm going to take a random guess that its diet mostly consists of fungi

nice how Fungostegotops' features abide by the rules of polar fauna - like shorter thicker tails.

great creativity.

Well, the polar regions don't differ much from the equatorial regions, the are just a few degrees cooler and some different plants

Are there even ice caps? Or just different worldtree species?

No ice caps, and yes different world trees

Nice. I wonder what the polar regions would be like on a water world. The only true "land", perhaps? Inhabited by rare, terrestrial vertebrates?

Anyway, this guy looks amazing. I wonder what his fungus-roofed head is for.

I must disappoint you, no land, no ice caps, no terrestrial vertebrates. Instead a different Flora (and partly differnet Fauna) and spectacular auroras.

Interesting design. And I think its a nice idea to keep some animals mysterious.
