Name: Thanatos

Universe: Kid Icarus

Entrance: A single skull emitting blue fire from its eyes and mouth bounces onstage. After a moment, the rest of the clown-like/Genie-like body of Thanatos appears to melt out of the skull into a fighter! Thanatos, god of death, pats his stomach and laughs as he gets ready for battle.

Specials------------------------------

B- Tanatos Toss- Thanatos holds out both palms forward and says, “Just like old times!” as he does this, he launches an 8-bit style version of himself from the original Kid Icarus game. This 8-bit snake moves forward in a zig-zag formation, and while it doesn’t deal an extreme amount of DMG if it contacts an opponent it has a high chance to drag/string the opponent along forward with it which can deal combo DMG. The snake moves forward in 4 zig zags before disappearing (about as far as the Lloyd rocket special). As a fun added effect, whenever it travels forward it plays a small jingle from the Medusa Battle from the Original Kid Icarus (the same sound effect of when Medusa takes DMG).

Side B- Urn Blast- Thanatos transforms into an urn that almost resembles himself and fires a projectile skull forward at a slight arc! The projectile skull spat out has the possibility of being one of two skulls: the most common is a regular grey skull which deals decent DMG and knockback potential. The more uncommon skull is a red skull that explodes like a bob-omb as soon as it makes contact with anything or travels forward for about 3 seconds. You can hit the grey skulls if you time it right, and it will send the skull flying back towards where it was shot from.

Up B- Bat Ascent- Thanatos transforms into a large round bat that resembles himself and yells “KEE KEE KEE KEE!” as he propels himself upward. This recovery is very fast and travels a good distance upward, while the attack strength isn’t strong it does deal flinching DMG top opponents, has great reach, and Thanatos is invulnerable to one attack while in this form before he takes DMG. Once you hit the peak height, you can also hold B to keep him in the bat form for a few seconds longer and can move him left or right. After that, he transforms back into himself, but you can continue to use attacks right after.

Down B- Athlete’s Foot- Thanatos transforms himself into a giant foot! After transforming into the foot, he hovers high up for a second before coming slamming down into the ground in a stomping attack. If done in the air, the foot slams down similar to Bowser’s down special, and deals more DMG. Opponents caught in the stomp will either be dealt a meteor strike, or if they are on the ground they will be buried. This attack also releases a cloud of poisonous gas around the foot, if opponents get caught in the gas but not the foot, they take poison DMG and for the next 5 seconds their health takes 3% DMG per second.

Final Smash- Underworld Assault- Thanatos whistles loudly and shouts “its showtime!” as a large faded image of the Goddess of Death Medusa appears in the background. She points forward, and multiple puff of black smoke appear on the stage as Reapers and Reapettes appear and seek out opponents. This final smash works very much like Pit’s final smash in Brawl, however with this final smash both enemies do different DMG. The reapettes will hover charge towards the closest opponent and attempt to ram into them, if they make contact the opponent has a high probability of being stunned. The regular Reapers (3 of them) have their eyes glow bright as they slowly charge towards the closest opponent. If a reaper gets close, it will swing its scythe forward with all its might, this attack can deal massive DMG and knockback, and if you are stunned by a reapette first the regular reapers will automatically charge toward the stunned opponent. The reapers and reapettes can be killed if you are quick enough to attack. After a short time of reapers attacking, they disappear in a blast of dark smoke.

Standard Moves---------------------------------------------

A – Demon Orbs- Thanatos fires a singular homing fire orb forward. This fire orb is quick moving and can be used rapidly, but only deals 1.5% DMG per orb.

AAA – Thanatos fires a singular homing fire orb forward. This fire orb is quick moving and can be used rapidly, but only deals 1.5% DMG per orb.

A Left/Right- Thanatos fires a singular homing fire orb forward. This fire orb is quick moving and can be used rapidly, but only deals 1.5% DMG per orb.

A Dash- Belly Slam- Thanatos enlarges his stomach and slams forward with it.

A Up- Thanatos performs an upward spinning attack, while balancing on one foot.

A Down- Thanatos kicks forward with his two feet while levitating, and propels forward a short distance.

Smash Left/Right- Spiked Fist- Thanatos transforms his hand into a spiked ball and winds back before slamming it forward. The attack has a bit of lag to its attack but is an incredibly powerful smash attack. As he does this he yells "Play ball!"

Smash Up- Skull Bite- The Skull on Thanatos’ head grows twice its normal size and opens its jaw wide open. With all his might, the skull on his head snaps its jaws straight upward. This smash attack can be hard to pull off, but the knockback and DMG potential is well worth it. After the skull makes contact and bites an opponent, Thanatos yells "Yummy!"

Smash Down- Slicing Sandals- Thanatos performs the splits in the air as his spiked sandals transform into longer and sharper blades. He then spins rapidly while hovering slightly above the ground, this attack deals upward knockback.

Aerial Neutral- Thanatos strikes a lazy laying on his back pose that DMGs opponents who make contact.

Aerial Forward- Thanatos transforms his hands into daggers and slashes the air forward!

Aerial Backward- Thanatos kicks backward with his feet, while transforming them into two spiked balls.

Aerial Down- Spear Slam- Thanatos transforms into 3 separate spears with his skull and design on them and plummets the three spears straight downward.

Aerial Up- Thanatos transforms the skull on his head into a much larger skull and it bites upward.

Taunt/Result Screen---------------------------------------------------

Taunt 1 (Up) – Thanatos summons three skulls and juggles them while saying, “Oh goody!”

Taunt 2 (Side) – Thanatos yawns and says, “I might as well take a nap if its going to be this easy.”

Taunt 3 (Down) – Thanatos dances by hoping on one foot twice then the other twice (3 times) while laughing.

Defeat Pose- Thanatos crosses his arms and frowns and shakes his head.

Victory Pose 1- Thanatos transforms into his bat form and rapidly flies around the victory screen before smiling at the camera while still a bat.

Victory Pose 2- Thanatos floats leisurely while crossing his arms and smirking, saying “No need to get all huffy now, I’ll have you know I much prefer honey over vinegar!”

Victory Pose 3- Thanatos puts his arms out wide similar to a showman, and bows dramatically while saying “Thank you, thank you, you’ve been such a wonderful audience for me!”
