Description this is actually really old, i just needed to get something into my account (i have several WIPs but no resolve to work) and i realized that i hadn't uploaded this, even though i did it about nine months ago...

this was one of my first serious acrylic paintings, it was really fun to do although i'm a bit paranoid with working with acrylics nowadays because they're so much harder to work with than watercolours, in my opinion... but it's so vivid! i mean it's fucking blinding!

download for a bigger, high-res picture or whatever. (although you'll see all the imperfections because i neglected it for so long shit accumulated on it. )

p.s. the anatomical 'mistakes' were purposeful

I'd say you have a good feel for acrylics, despite not having worked with them much . I love the way you did both the dress and her hair.

Thanks. (: Although, I'm totally scared to work with them now that I've been using watercolours for so long. xD

That is beautiful Lisha! The colors and the details are simply amazing! The use of complimentary colors is also a major bonus. Nice work!

Hehehe welcome!
Aw, complimentary colors aren't hard: blue - orange, purple - yellow, green - red - they're the colors that are opposite one another on the color wheel.

huh makes sense...

(sadly when you said opposite i was immediately thinking of the rubik's cube... but the rubik's cube is not a colour wheel. ; ; )

love the way you did the coloprs here and yeah. they are pretty blinding.
the no arms/eyes deal leaves alot of ambiguity let alone the positioning of the body and the way the hair is moving around her face.
armless? defensless? giving up hope? trapped? who knows. could go any way.
a lovely piece nonehtless.
