I had this strange DHMIS AU idea in which the yellow guy is some sort of magical being with an extremely long lifespan, and as his age reaches a few centuries he slowly becomes less and less humanoid (I say humanoid because he wasn't exactly human to begin with), beginning with his face. His limbs develop interesting stiped markings and his face becomes very beast-like, so he wears a mask resembling his old face so as not to frighten children. While he can be very dangerous, especially given his love of raw meat and innards and his unreal strength, he adores children and would never harm one.
