I love how he looks like stone - but the way the light passes through him and leaves a red shimmer implies that he's also alive and made of flesh and blood. Amazing piece!

I agree, but it has to be done really well, if not then they would just ruin it.

oh, granted (hence the fan aspect, like the first Iron Man, which was done by the right people, and the director had skill, knowledge of the material, and was a fan). But with contemporary graphic ability (i would imagine a good mix between CGI and actual prosthetics, or perhaps something like the Hobbit - the pale orc) it could very easily be done visually, and the wonderful thing about the story is that it was already surprisingly complex and oddly dark even though it was a kids show, so with only a tiny amount of tweaking, it make be a terrific movie.

I LOVED GARGOYLES! Goliath was awesome. I walked around on my toes for a year because of that show. This is beautifully done. Thanks for sharing and bringing back good childhood memories.
