watercolor is amaaaziinng but sooo hard when it comes to traditional paintings haha. i'm still learning and practicing how to use it classically, but mainly i just love how all the colors spread out and react.

this looks beautiful. the colours you used are exceptional. how do you not get the watercolours to run? yours stay relatively within the lines theyre supposed to; every time i try my hand at them they go everywhere, haha!

it's not too hard! a way to do it is to wet (however little or much) the one area you'll paint first w/water (for instance his robe) and then just put in paint into the wet areas. Naturally, they won't go beyond the wet boundaries. once one area is dry, you can move onto the next. lets say you were gon paint the light blue outline on the inside of his robe while it's wet, you'd have to wait till the entire robe was dry before you can put in that outline, otherwise it'll bleed-out to the rest of the robe.
