wow, what a mess. curious if there was habituation issues. Many of the coyotes in the east are much larger than ours 80-90 pounds is not uncommon. Yellowstone yotes are around 40 pounds.

giant canadian coyotes!

i didnt see any when we were out there. we almost took did that trail too.. but its a 5 hours journey and we didnt have time.
this place is within a park.. so i wonder if there is habituation issues. would be interesting to look into that before i go back out there.

I am also interested to see how they have ABSOLUTE proof it was coyotes and not wild stray dogs (feral dogs) It is a really sad story though.

they were still around the girl when the park ranger and the RCMP showed uo. they shot one, but couldnt find the body, and they were sending out a search party today to find them. The people who called the police and the park rangers were throwing rocks at them but they wouldnt leave the girl they were attacking.

i guess there has been coyote attacks there before.

the park rangers were there DURING the attacks? wow sounds like a failure of the RCMP to take the necessary actions to preserve human life. this is so sad. I feel really bad for the girl.

the attack happened and passers by heard her screams.. so they called the 911.. they threw rocks at the coyotes while they waited. the park people came from Cheticamp which isnt far away they were there fast but were unarmed. they couldnt really do much. I guess they stopped attacking but wouldnt leave the girl.. so no one could help her.. the RCMP were there shortly after and shot one of the animals. and they all ran off.

Early reports were saying that she was going to pull threw cuz her blood pressure was going back up, but i guess it wasnt enough.
it really is a sad story..

This trail is beautiful and has an amazing view at the end, [link] [link] [link]

Detail fantastic and focus spot on, even through the grasses. You get an A+

I'm not sure I can critique, but I really like the centring and the lighthing, the coyote almost hidden gives a mysterious way to the pic...

Coyotes are always one of my favorite animals to encounter They are amazing if you spend the time to get to know them.

Spend time for nature is the most important... I love catch animals too, but in Paris it's not really easy to find wildlife...
