by far my fav of ur stuff [so far]
excellent in everyway and i luv the comment. actually i've enjoyed reading many of ur comments. i often don't like to be distracted by someone's subjective view on their piece, but most of urs have been very friendly and lite [ie. don't force a particular view on the piece].
congrats. i really try to limit my faves, but i couldn't help myself on this one

It seems as though there is something very intimate about sitting on a couch with another person in public. I'm sure it was even closer for them, facing the wall.
I like the shades and the balance, but also the feeling of somehow being misplaced that I pick up on when I look at it. Like they're not sure where they are, or why, but as long as they're with one another, they're content to stay there without a rush. Comfortably displaced. Maybe where they came from isn't worth going back to, or where they're going isn't particularly where they want to be.
I also get the feeling of flipping through a book, and setting eyes on one or two lines-- perhaps merely a small phrase, even-- that makes me want to read the book. To take in the whole story, as well as that snapshot, in stride.
I always seem to feel so much emotion from your photos; I think that's why I sometimes don't post as many comments as I should. Also, because I want to make sure I have the time to tell you everything I want to tell you, as well as the time to appreciate the piece.
Hope the comment wasn't too long, or drawn-out.

good god, woman, do you know humanity.
I have had my breath stolen a good many times perusing your gallery, because your understanding of form and vitality is so in synch with the proper workings of the world. What I value most about your art is the spontanaity of it- it is as if you are telling us- here is the beauty all around you- open your eyes!
I'm with you, i LOVE stumbling upon moments like this, and I only wish i had the cojones to whip out my camera and capture them permanently with the grace and ease you seem to. I think there is a great delicacy with which you have presented this image to us- clearly you're aware of your apt composition and qualified use of contrast. but what really sets it apart is that you were able to achieve such a technical success without posing them as models, choosing their contrasty clothing, etc.
this is the true testement to your inherant abilities as an artist.
gorgeous work, lady

This is a wonderful shot. I love how they look so happy and relaxed in a place that should be so depressive and constrained. It really seems as if you are telling of the openess that two people that really care for each other have, how you can sit and talk in a public place and it doesn't matter because you are in your own little world, on your couch. Feeling this way is a great feeling, knowing that the world is just a brick wall anyway and that you are completely alone and free to talk.
There are some great tones here too, which is a tribute to how perfect your exposure was. Wonderful stuff. I also kinda like the paper sitting under the couch as it has so many connotations and so many possibilities; it has really made me think. The vertical lines on the wayy and the post really help bring a feeling of three dimensions to the shot too, giving it height where it would not have. Great capture, I can't wait to see more!
