*EDIT 11/24/05 - changed the title. it feels just right.i just awoke from a dream where some faceless someone was imploring
me to put this photo in my gallery. he pleaded,
"you must do it! it's the missing 5th!
it's the missing 5th!"
what's weird is.. there are 4 other piercing shots in my gallery.
so this indeed makes 5.
scenario - after lyndze got her piercings put in for the PURE show ([link] )
a photographer in the dressing room took her down one flight
of stairs to a landing with a light overhead to make some frames.
i made this candid shot from the top of the stairs.

I wished you were using film instead of digital, the photo would look better. It wouldn't have these peculiar dots. But that is just a small detail which I personally see.
And indeed I am quite cross with you that you kept this photo for yourself so long. It is great. It looks a bit as if she was a blind person, facing the wall, not knowing where she is. On the other hand, the fact that the wall ends so suddenly on the left makes it look as if she was a guinea pig in an experiment, in a man-built labyrinth, testing something. The light and the big, black areas make the photo creepy. Wonderful composition!!

dream stories are very cool. i used to have dreams telling me about
photoshoots i needed to do. it would show me where to go, who to
bring and what needed to be done from what angles.

The dream world is so fantastical. Everything about dreams, really, is unparalleled. My boyfriend was telling me the story of a dream this afternoon, and as he told it, he realized how true to life a lot of the details were -- the crack in his window and other things he'd never noticed in real life until they appeared in that dream. Tell me more dream stories?

really cool - I like the strong spotlight on the girl and darkness around..

It's difficult to believe this is a candid. You, I am certain, got the best shot taken of her that night. I love the way she's in this pool of light at the bottom of a dark pit. You get the feeling she's so very far away, or so tiny, like a doll.
To me, there is the illusion that she might be standing towards the wall or away from it. It's her thumbs that really give me a sense of her body placement, but when I focus only on her torso and head, I can "see" her facing outwards. It's really a very cool trick of the eyes.
I love the hard shadow from her arm traveling down the wall and the bright light on the skin on her arms. Just beautiful.
Loving the grainy feel to this. It really sucks you in and down and towards the girl.

THIS, to me..is black and white photography done RIGHT. grainy. empty space. RAW. and a bit sexual with the light on this pretty girl..
your words in the description are only like icing on the cake to me..and it was nice to see these shots that I remember you telling me you would be getting of the piercings and what not. very interesting (especially with that dream, too! you are wonderful in a weird sort of way

This shot is wonderful. as usual the mood is amazing. It bring me in a underground world.
The darkness around the light show me the end, the model look traped in a place where
theres no exit and no way back.

Absolutely beautiful. God, what an amazing use of space and richness of tone. The ambiguity of time is so impactful and leaves the viewer to wonder so much about both the surroundings and the individual depicted...and that angle on the left wall...what an amazing way to give some variation to the black space.
