Description 25mm amberlite (fake amber) cabochon wrapped in oxidized copper wire with garnet beads. I'm working on a copper chain for this. Something not totally typical.

Thank you! I mostly use copper. I've only done a couple of pieces with silver wire. I'm still learning & don't want to waste it!! I'll be posting some more pictures later-there's a wire wrapped cobalt blue marble with oxidized silver wire in the mix....I am having SO much fun!

Thank you -Are there any pictures in your gallery that are ..um...fumed with silver? I'm curious as to what that looks like. I don't know the glass maker's lingo-but I think I have an idea of what that means!

check out implosion pendant 3 and silver fum pendant. If i mix gold and silver i can create almost any color. Silver gives blue to white even at its darkest yellow and gold give a pink to an orangey gold look. Now when mixing them i can get greens, purples etc. implosion pendant 3 has a lot of color the pic really doesn't show it, but you can see the silver for sure. it give the center the white hue. and the blue spots in the background. The silver fume pendant is excessive silver fuming in order to get the yellow color into the center. But if you notice the base of each dot is still white. You may not see it.. i hope this helps..

Just a little interesting point. when i started making glass there may have been like 25-30 actual color sticks you could use. they weren't very good so most people didn't use them. Artists mixed metals like gold silver in layers to get opaque color. Now there may be over 100s of colors. there is a multitude of color companies all producing very workable and different colors.

Thanks for explaining that to me. It sounds like such an interesting process. My Mom has the equipment & set up for working with glass. I don't think she's used it much, but I keep bugging her to make some beads or something and send them to ME!!!! It looks like it would be so difficult! Your pendants are mesmerizing. There's so much to see inside each one!

this is so warm, but still feels earthy to me, like heat from the earth's core ...

I know I already thanked you-but I feel like I should address each comment! Thank you so much!!! This was my first attempt at this idea-I'm hoping to do a few that are similar since I think I figured out a better way of doing things...I hope! Just have to get the cabochons!

Well thank you for coming back to my comments! I am so used to dispensing them and not being replied to on this site, so it's wonderful to hear back in detail on them, and especially from such a fabulous artisan.

I want to start selling my jewelry. I have in the past. I started an ETSY acct. but haven't made it a sellers account. I need to finish these pendants. I'm working on a chain for the sun pendant & a few others. As for pricing...I still have to figure it out. I'm trying to learn about it! Hopefully very soon I'll have some answers. Thank you so much for your interest!

Ah ^^ k, I really like the design of this one, and I guess I'd really like to see a rose quartz pendant ^^

I'm not requesting you to make one but I honestly haven't seen any made in the style you use
