The color is fabulous, I like the the orange-gold flowers are scattered everywhere!
And the light hitting the mountains is very strong.
It makes it hard to tell what exactly you were focusing on taking a photo of, I believe that makes it even better.

Gorgeous! What focal length did you use? Depth of field is great, so I'm wondering if you used a TS lens or focus stacked the image?

Great composition Ian. Tetons is my second favorite place to shoot....Arches being my first choice.

This is stunning Ian! Beautiful foreground subject, superb light on the mountainous backdrop, and that overhanging cloud formation, and colour tops it off brilliantly.

I whined like a dog about not being able to find a good foreground when I was doing the dawn in the Tetons thing, and the flowers do present some of the lines towards the mountains that I wanted, but I feel like they're overpowering. Instead of leading my eye into the mountains, I stop right there, it's like I'm looking at two different subjects.
Also the light on the flowers and the light on the mountains doesn't feel like it belongs together. Flowers+mountains should be a winning formula, but you're mixing diffused light on the flowers with the magic hour pop of the mountains, instead of the foreground flowing into the subject, it clashes. I think the Tetons have won again. I thinks somebody must have cursed them, there's no satisfaction to be found there. Popularity's another story...

This really makes me feel I wasted my time in the Tetons. Excellent capture and the clarity and colors are just spectacular

I find this photo really inspiring. It really makes me want to go out there and try to photograph by myself.
I'm lightyears away from the kind photos like this (or as shown in your gallery, which is gorgeous, by the way), not even halfway through all the books on photography that I planned to read this summer and still trying to figure out all the controls anf functions of my camera... but it makes me want to continue, to be able capture the beauty for everyone to see and to enjoy. Thank you for this.
