Description Here's my Top 5 Favorite Don Bluth Films.

5. Thumbelina

Now I know everybody doesn't like this movie but I honestly don't care. I thought this movie was meh if you ask me. Not that I hate, I just find it ok. Of course this was based on the same story by Hans Christian Anderson. And this has Jodi Benson as the main heroine. Wait a sec, I just realized this movie and The Little Mermaid have some similarities to each other. Both films have Jodi Benson voicing the main lead, both have some of the same voice cast, and both stories were written by Hans Christian Anderson. Coincidence, I think not! Although the only downside, it was released the same year as you know who. *cough* A Troll In Central Park *cough* and also both of them were distributed by Warner Bros and was one of the films to not get a sequel.

4. All Dogs Go to Heaven

Here's a movie from Don Bluth's 80's line up. This one was made in 1989 and was in competition with The Little Mermaid. Anyways this follows Charlie Barkin and his friend or right paw pup Itchy as they help a little girl named Anne Marie. Speaking of Anne Marie, this was the last film for Judith Barsi (who also voiced Ducky in The Land Before Time) before she was slaughtered. After this movie, Bluth's films started to lose their touch, if you get my drift.

3. An American Tail

Ok, here's another one of Bluth's works from his 80's line up. This was released in 1986, and it was distributed by Universal along with The Land Before Time. This movie follows a young mouse named Fievel Mousekewitz as he goes overboard and is separated from his family. So it's up to him to get back to his family.

2. The Pebble and the Penguin

Now I know I'm gonna get snapped at by anybody hates this movie, but hear me out. When I first heard about this movie, I had no idea what it was about. So after finally getting the chance to watch it, I actually thought it was pretty good. Even if the story is weak as an old rope, what makes me come back to this movie is the songs. Some of them could be hit and miss but some of them can be a toe tapper for me. And not to mention likes this movie too so she and I can relate since we both like this movie. And this was also in Bluth's 90's line up. And Barry Manilow did the music for this and Thumbelina.

1. The Secret of NIMH

Now this is the film that put Bluth on the map and it's one of his earlier works released in 1982. The story follows around a mouse named Mrs. Brisby as she helps her family move but one of her sons, Timmy has pneumonia. So she seeks help of the rats of NIMH to help move her home to safety. And this was the first Don Bluth film that Dom Deluise provided a voice for. And the animation looks amazing for it's time considering it was released in 1982.

And that's my top 5 favorite Don Bluth films.

This looks awesome. I love An American Tail and All Dogs Go to Heaven because these franchises are pretty cool. Also, my favorite Don Bluth sequel is Fievel Goes West.
