Build | Dawnfire has the body of a fighter and is the definition of buff. Up close, she is intimidating, with huge paws and wide set shoulders. Her thick muscles hide beneath her spiky fur however, and now matter how much she tries to smooth it down in an effort to appear more sleek, her fur tufts just bounce right back up.
Appearance | The base coat of Dawnfire's fur is a russet, with darker point markings on her face, tail and limbs. Her stripes also follow the same pattern, fading from dark to light to match the shade of the fur beneath. Dawnfire has cream fur along the rim of her cheeks and muzzle, before wrapping around her fluffy neck. She also has white on her muzzle, toes and tail tip. Her bright blue eyes clash with her ginger fur and are usually the first feature of hers another cat notices.

On The Inside
Positive traits | Brave, Hard Working, Caring, Strong Willed
Neutral | Protective, Fiery, Unpredictable, Sociable
Negative traits | Reckless, Rebellious, Impatient, Short tempered
Dawnfire is the perfect fit for the exhausting and dangerous job of a Brena guard. She is fearless to the point of stupidity sometimes, and is willing to risk her life to defend her fellow clan cats. Tireless and diligent, Dawnfire seems to have inexhaustible amounts of energy, and rarely complains about her work. She loves the responsibility of protection, and gives her all every day to be the best a guard can be. Once she gets an idea into her, almost nothing will shake her resolve. She will do what she wants regardless of what anyone else says, and will stubbornly stick to her ideas. Dawnfire also deeply cares for the well being of others, and although she's not too good at deep, emotional conversation, she is a good friend and will stick by you to the end.
Due to the loss of her sister, Dawnfire is extremely protective, to the point of suffocating sometimes. She has dedicated her life to being a guardian, and in a patrol, will often be the first one to go forward, or the first to meet any sudden danger to prevent harm to the others. Because this protective streak clashes with the longer hours to standing guard alone, Dawnfire often finds herself craving social interaction. She is an extrovert at heart, and loves to meet new cats. Often, you may find her lingering at your border in the hopes of finding a patrol to chat to and share news, and just to fulfill her need for friendship. Dawnfire is friendly to almost all clans, excluding the Halcyon and Kerla, and does not feel any hostility towards other clans. She is protecting them, after all, and finds that knowing specific cats gives her even more reason to fight harder when the time comes.
If you were to ask for a single word to describe Dawnfire, it would be fiery. Her impulsive nature, her headstrong personality and rebellious streak means that she can be a handful sometimes, and can often shoot away without warning. Based on emotion, her actions are unpredictable, and it can sometimes be very difficult to know what is going on inside her mind. Sometimes even she doesn't know, as her brain is constantly buzzing with activity. Her short temper also means that her emotions can shift very quickly, and she can sometimes explode without much warning.
This strong will gives Dawnfire her hard working attitude, but it can also be her downfall. Dawnfire rarely thinks logically before she acts, instead reacting based on her instant emotional response. Her impulsiveness means that she gets into more dangerous situations than most, flinging herself at an enemy without a second thought. Dawnfire does not comprehend the word 'safety', and can drag others into danger due to this. This impulsive and energetic attitude also leads to her one true struggle with her job; waiting. Dawnfire loves patrolling and fighting and everything to do with movement in her job, but she struggles with sitting still and just watching. Often, she will pace quietly instead to spend her endless energy.
The most influential personality trait of hers however, is her rebellious attitude. Throughout her life, Dawnfire has struggled with obeying authority figures, arguably leading to the death of her beloved sister. Dawnfire relishes the freedom of Brena, and hates being told what to do. This has only intensified as she has found out about the full extent of Halcyon's controlling activities. Dawnfire will fully support any revolution against the ruling clan, and dislikes both the Haycyon, and their pet clan, the Kerla, immensely. Although she will follow Brena's leader, and will try (with great difficult) to act as polite as possible to Halcyon cats for her own benefit, everyone else is equally unimportant when it comes to her decision making. She will go where she wants, when she wants, and very few other cats can tell her otherwise.

History
Original Histroy
Frost became pregnant during a harsh, cruel winter, far in the north. Although she was an experienced queen, as the snow grew deeper, and the chill became more and more bitter, Frost realised that her kits would not survive if she stayed there, even with her skills. During her life, she had heard rumours of clans living in the south lands, who protected each other and worked together. Frost had always lived as a loner, but for the sake of her unborn kits, she decided to give up her previous life and travel to these clans.
The already perilous journey was made even more difficult but the mountainous terrain, whipping winds and shoulder deep snow. The moons of travelling sapped almost all of Frost's strength, and she would often go days without finding even a sniff of prey. She was an older cat, and the chill seeped into her bones, making every step agony. But Frost refused to give up.
By the time Frost was ready to give birth, she still had not seen a single sign of the clans. Part of her was wondering if the journey had been in vain, if she had suffered so much for nothing. Her skin pinched her bones tightly, and her breath was ragged. Curling up in a tree hollow, she gave birth to four kits. Two were still born, but the last two stirred weakly. She had only a tiny amount of milk to give, and the hungry mewls of her two kits drove her to hunt as much as possible. Her strength was already spent however, and her hope gone after travelling so far and not finding sanctuary.
It was a chaser from Brena who found Frost's two kits, squirming in a tree hollow just outside the border after chasing away an overly curious fox. Frost had died in her sleep from starvation and exhaustion, but even in death, she was curled protectively around her kits. Realising that they were now alone, they were brought to Halcyon. Although loners are usually chased away, Brena was in need of new apprentices, and the fact that they were so young meant that they could be easily moulded and raised as if they were born in a clan. As Brena found them, the two kits were accepted into the clan and were given the names Dawnkit and Firkit. Dawnkit prospered in the Brena, quickly recovering from her bad start to become strong and confident. Her sister, Firkit, struggled to keep up, and was much smaller and weaker than Dawnkit. However, there was no resentment between the two sisters, and after growing old enough to understand their history, they became inseparable.
Dawnkit and Firkit had a fun filled and happy kithood, and both were excited to become apprentices. Dawnpaw became an apprentice of the guards, whilst Firkit became an apprentice of the chasers, so that they could work together as a team. Firpaw was a hard worker, but Dawnpaw had a tendency to get distracted, or rebel against her mentor and refuse to listen to orders, much to the exasperation of her sister and mentor. Dawnpaw found it increasingly hard to obey authority figures, as she felt that they were stifling her freedom and she didn't like being told what to do. Soon, Dawnpaw began to fall behind with her training, spending more time doing punishments rather than actual patrolling work.
One early morning two moons into their training, Dawnpaw managed to convince Firpaw to sneak away from their mentors and explore the outlands by themselves. Firpaw was reluctant, but always gave in to Dawnpaw's persuasion, and the two of them made it to the outlands successfully. Firpaw proposed the idea of searching for their mother's grave, and the two of them set off, gathering a few flowers before peering into every hollow and hole. The longer they searched, the more careless and reckless they became, no longer keeping note of their surroundings.
Dawnpaw didn't see the starving fox approaching them until it catapulted out of the undergrowth at them, snatching up Firpaw. Dawnpaw charged at it, desperately scratching and biting it, but her past two moons of shrugging off training meant that she had no battle skills. It easily shook her off and raced away with Firpaw dangling in it's jaws. Sick with horror, Dawnpaw galloped after it, yowling and shrieking the entire time. But she couldn't keep up, and soon the fox and her sister vanished. Dawnpaw didn't stop until their mentors came pelting after her, drawn by her screaming. They searched for the rest of the day, but it soon became clear that Firpaw was gone forever.
Dawnpaw blamed herself. She was the one who had convinced her sister to sneak off into the outlands, and she was the one who couldn't fight off a fox, all because she refused to listen. Instead of immobilising her however, this grief triggered something inside of her. Now, every waking moment was dedicated to training, to getting stronger, faster, more stamina. Dawnpaw pushed herself harder than any mentor ever could. When she wasn't practicing battle moves, she was hunting for her clan. Even in camp, she was tidying, or fixing bedding. She would never let another cat become lost. She would become protector of all of the clans. Dawnpaw became a model apprentice, and eventually, she was given the warrior name Dawnfire.
The she cat was a proud guard, always ready to leap into danger for the protection of others. But now that she was not spending all of her time training, she was able to talk more with both adults in her clan and those she met at the borders of other clans. At first, she was surprised to hear the discontent surrounding the Halcyon; she had never really given the ruling clan much thought. But the more she thought deeply about it, the more she found that she agreed with the rebels. Why should one single clan rule above the others? What made them so special? Were goldbloods even real, or was that a lie they made up to gain control? Why did they feel the need to enforce and punish cats? What are they scared of? Dawnfire watched every interaction between the Halcyon and clan cats intently, and felt a stir of bitterness as she realised how submissive the clans had to be to these cats. For what? Because they were born to cats who lived in a different place than the others? How could she serve cats who were so brutal to others? All of these interactions, conversations and thoughts only rekindled her rebellious streak and stirred her anger.
Then, the executions happened. The leaders of most of the clans were killed after Wolf'la discovered murmurings of a rebellion. Dawnfire was horrified, but this only lead to her feelings of resentment being intensified. The she cat still proudly works as a guard, but she does it for the clan cats, not the Halcyon. And she is certain that if there ever was a true rebellion, if she wasn't leading it herself, she would join.

[ Blue Green - Water | Kato | Outskirts of the Tribe’s Land ]
Pebbles clattered down the stone cold slopes as a cat moved about the ridges, their tumbling temporarily breaking the silence of the night. The noise was amplified by the lack of background noise, and the tom's shadowy figure paused on the ledge above, tense and watchful as his glowing emerald eyes scanned the rocks below. Claws scraped against rock as the undergrowth that bordered the slopes trembled, the feline prepared to leap into battle at the first sign of a predator. A shrew burst from the bushes, disturbing by the falling rocks, and the tom relaxed, before hopping down into the undergrowth and bounding through the shadows.
Kato's paws pounded the ground heavily as he sprinted, heading back towards Water Tribe territory. He had explored the outskirts in search of any sign of his brother, Finnick, but like always, there wasn't even a pebble out of place to single his arrival. Is he really coming? Kato swallowed down his doubt. Finnick had to come. His brother had promise. At least he could look forward to a cozy bed to sleep the day away. He was tired after -
Kato skidded to a stop as the scent of blood flooded his nostrils. Fresh. So wrapped up in his thoughts, the Water Triber hadn't even noticed until he was drowning in it, and he gagged as it poured through his nose and jaws. He had never really scented blood before, and he had never realised how overwhelming the grisly smell was until now. Raising his head, Kato forced himself to drink in the scent as he tried to decide where it was coming from. Maybe it was just a fox that had gotten in a fight with another. There! The scent was strongest just through those ferns. I really hope it is a fox. Kato grimaced as he reluctantly edged forward, terrified at what he might find. What if it's a cat? Fuck, don't let it be a cat. Taking a deep breath, Kato puffed out his chest as if to egg himself on, before shouldering through the fronds, his tail bristling with nerves.
A brown body lay sprawled on the ground, unmistakably that of a cats. A brown body with white patchs and fluffy fur. A brown body with a Light Tribe tattoo. Kato's stomach churned with dread and fear as he raced the last few steps, already knowing who it was. "Yvaine!" He choked out, horror making his whole body tremble. Moonbeams filtered through the leaves above their heads, illuminating the blood that was plastered to her fur and splattered on the ground, dyeing the leaves beneath her crimson. Frozen with shock, Kato's eyes swept over the scene as a gasp escaped his jaws. No ... Not Yvaine.
Finally released, Kato instantly dropped down to the ground and wrapped his arms around her limp body, holding her close to him. Blood tricked onto his fur, leaving smudged stains but he didn't care. "No." He whimpered, pressing his head close to hers. Who'd do something like this; rip her life away just like that? Why? Kato felt sick. This couldn't be happening. Both his mind and vision spun. He could barely think straight.
W-Was she ... Dead?
There was a terrible pause that seemed to last for seasons, and Kato was stiff with tension as he leaned close to her mouth, his breaths coming in short, uncontrolled gulps of air.
Relief coursed through him as he felt her breath on his cheek, faint, but still alive. Tears prickling the corners of his eyes, Kato slowly and gently place her back on the ground. She needed help and fast. There was nothing he could do, but he couldn't be the only cat out here. Plenty of cats he knew loved going to night walks, and that was just in Water Tribe. "Stay there." He whispered, determination flowing through his tired limbs, renewing his energy. There wasn't really wasn't any point in saying that to her, but a mixture of shock, fear and hope made his thoughts whirl. All he could focus on was finding someone, anyone.
Springing upwards, Kato bolted away, his paws a blur as he charged through the night, yowling for help.
