I was just trying out some stuff. Yuppp.
Pen doodle of Koffne the crow archaeopteryx + leaf + printed out photo of gears I took at a museum + ripped out text from an old book + acrylic paint + watercolor + black string + gold ink.
I THINK that's everything.

Wonderful piece, I love the combination of things, textures, and ideas here. I love how all the items at the top kind of lead to your half crow half machine (from what I can tell) at the bottom. Also it is well balanced with the bright/light paper at the bottom and side and the darker objects at the top and other side. They blend well I mean. How is that leaf holding up? Anyway Nice work!

That's really excellent. Reminds me of the work in a book I read to do with working with mixed media. It's the kind of thing I wish I could do. By the way, that Archeopteryx is awesome! The white frill around him stands out quite a lot though.

I do a bit, but I consider myself a total photography n00b, hahaa. I don't really have anything that I think is good enough to submit these days, I mostly just use it for references and collage projects like this. >D

That's a good use for photos... taking your own references. C: makes it like 100% your own instead of referencing some photo off the internet. C: I really like photography... I've only been doing it for maybe 2 years and I am a n00b too. XD

ahaha yes. That's what I do when I'm having trouble drawing a pose or something. HURRR.
I take pictures of animals at the zoo, but my camera doesn't have good zoom, so it's not extremely helpful. xD

It was a lot harder to paint on a leaf than I thought it would be. The leaf didn't want anything to do with that acrylic paint. xD

This piece of work is quite good for what it is. The thing that impresses me the most isn't what's in the picture, but how so many things with different textures blend in very well to make one picture. It just doesn't look like someone put a couple of things on each other, it looks like a proper piece of art.
