Happy Chinese New Year! :]
I've been wanting to do a chinese new year picture for a while, but there haven't been animals I've been interested in drawing for a few years!
2010 is the year of the white metal tiger, so white tiger it is! The background is painted with metallic silver and green ink.
I'll be selling prints of this at a-kon. :]
Original is sold, hurray!
Ink and watercolor, 11 in. x 17 in. on watercolor paper.

how did you paint it? it looks like you painted the black lines first and then the colour, but that will stuff it up...right?
or did you draw it in with pencil, paint the colour and finally the black?

ANDDD WELL I have been taking the files to Kinko's to get them printed but I'm thinking about trying a different place, because the kinko's printers always make them way too high contrast, which looks fine with some pictures but not so much with others. HMMMM.
