Not the Ferngully Smurf kind either.HEY GUESS WHO IS SO WITH THE TIMES THAT SHE WATCHED ALL OF AVATAR THE LAST AIRBENDER? Why yes it's me! Now I see why everyone was so in love with it when it first aired.
And as is my fashion I made some nonsense doodles while I was watching.
And here we are. YIPYIP!

I have a lot of favorite characters:
1. Aang
Reason: He's the "Big Dude." Plus, his moments in the Avatar-state are AWESOME!!!! "TELL ME WHERE APPA IS!!!!"
2. Katara
Reason: She reminds me of my sister, Lindsey, in Nashville. Calm, peaceful, optimistic, caring, kind, and she really knows how to have fun. Plus, we share the same element.
3. Sokka
Reason: He's the most freakin' hilarious character I know!
4. Zuko
Reason: He's a real badass. Glad he's fighting on the right side now.
5. Toph
Reason: Blind she may be, but through her earthbending, she proves you don't need sight to fight like a pro.
6. Azula
Reason: Mainly her cool firebending technique. Blue makes a really cool color for fire (better than green, even.)
7. Iroh
Reason: Very wise, kind, compassionate, and above all, an excellent teacher.
8. All the animals, especially Appa and Momo
Reason: Animal hybrids are COOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9. The Cabbage Salesman
Reason: Another good source of comic relief.

I need to catch back up with this show. I haven't seen any episodes in order since the end of Season 1.
All I know is that Zuko is apparently a good guy now. And Aang has hair.

I really think it's a tie between Sokka and Aang for favorite they're to freaking hilarious but deep at the same time. But I really love them all so much. I really really love Uncle too. He would have been such an awesome Firelord. (reuniting with Zuko at the end? Yeah it made me get misty eyed. I'M NOT ASHAMED.) So many good characters it's almost eerie.
Least favorite... uh.. Jet was kind of annoying. And I wasn't too thrilled with Mei/May however it's spelled. But I didn't groan when anyone came on screen so... that's a good thing.

Uncle is probably one of my favourites <3 I liked Azula too, in some ways. She was like heartless, psychopathic evil, but then occasionally her "teenage girl" side shows through, which was interesting.
I think my favourite Sokka moments had to be when they were watching that play, and Sokka was depicted as the hungry comedy-relief guy and he's like "WHHHAAAAT?"

Haha I had a feeling you'd like Azula. You like those badass crazy chicks. (I have come to the conclusion that Sylar (the cat not the otherone) should have been named Azula instead. Mostly because she is also crazy.)
Oh man, that whole play episode had me and Tiff in laughing our asses off. I loved the kid telling Zuko his scar was on the wrong side because it was bugging me the whole time. XD
But my favorite Sokka moment was "Sparky Sparky Boom man". ;_; He's so poetic.

Yes, I like Avatar alot. and I think alot of people did, because it is the only cartoon from america or canada since Batman the Animated Series that took it's audience seriously. The villains weren't all bumbling idiots siting catchphrases, and a war was going on that wasn't going to be ended with a heartfelt speech or the power of love. And despite the main character being very powerful, he was still overwhelmed. He was on par with his enemies, and a lot of times overwhelmed.
Basically, it had alot of humor to it, but it still took itself seriously, and was rather gritty at times. On par with alot of japanese animes that are popular in both storyline and quality animation. (unlike most in the last half decade that you can tell were built using Flash)

Amen to that! Hurray for not speaking down to your audience! And agreed on Aang. He was tough but not RAR I R THE MOST POWERFUL AWESOMEST BAD ASS DUDE EVER! He was still a kid and the show captured that really well. ^_^
