After two weeks I finally managed to find the time to finish this project. I love to play the violin, so I made this 3D image of a violin player.Made in Blender Cycles, 200 samples, post processing in Gimp, all textures were hand painted and the background is an image from pixabay, which I heavily adjusted in Gimp. Worktime about 15 hours.

I'm very impressed by the fact that you managed to get this result from handpainting and some editing. Overall you have managed to create a lot of atmosphere in the illustration and made good use of the shading.
Now here's for the more constructive feedback. I think you might have gone a bit too heavy handed with the blue at some places, which kinde ruins the impression a bit. If you look at the left arm and the tip of the violin, you'll notice that it melts a bit into the background despite the rest appearing very sharp. Despite it appearing close to the edge of the image, I think would have been better to make it appear a bit more sharp since the violin is a vital part of the image. The right shoulder also had a bit much, it should have been lighter in blue shading and then the transition from the shoulder to the rest of the arm would have been more smoth.
The thing I noticed second after the coloring was the fact that the person doesn't really appear to have a grip on the bow, it's as if it's floating in the air. Though I think that's more of an issue to adjust the 3D-model.

I am not a violinist but that left hand holding the violin's neck seems a bit awkward. Not sure if the human hand can bend that way. Check out some photos or try looking into the mirror to help you out. Other than that, good job on the model and all the work you put into it.ย

I know, the hand really is a bit awkward. You can bend your hand like that, but it's not good form. Positioning the model was super annoying though and I was happy that the hand looked at least plausible in the end xD I'll do it better next time

Beautiful piece! The hand-painted textures really make this feel more like a digital painting than a 3D render, which I really appreciate. The whole image has a soft and slightly mystical feel to it and it feels like that the violin player is totally immersed in the music. I love the realism in the image too. One thing I did notice though is that it doesn't look like she's holding the bowstring to me so it looks like it's floating in midair. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it stands out to me in an otherwise pretty flawless image. But still, lovely work! Keep it up
