accusing someone of a racist action is offensive, hun. it's rude, it's ridiculous. Nothing racist is happening here. If you don't like it, don't use racist terms. Plenty of people don't give me compliments, but it doesn't mean I have to put up with what you say. I stand up for my beliefs.

I'm not going to change how I wear my costumes because someone *might* get their panties in a bunch because I used some foundation for the sake of accuracy. There is no way I'm going to change what I LOVE to do for someone I don't care about or even know. You should really reconsider whether or not this, in the grand scheme of things, is actually offensive.

No- you find out. If you were going for accurate, you would be Inuit. But because you are a white person, you don't get to pretend to be accurate by putting make-up on. Skin color is not a costume. People have to deal with shit every day because of their skin color- they don't have the privilege of washing it off at the end of the day.

1) Katara is SOUTHERN WATER TRIBE, not Inuit. Southern water tribe members all have blue eyes and a dusty brown skin tone. This is NOT A REAL RACE.
2) you're incredibly racist it makes me sick. Someone does not have to be the same race as the character they're cosplaying as in order to be accurate. FIND ME a Katara cosplayer that's "inuit", since you think that would make them accurate. Find me one, please.
3) Yeah people have to deal with shit every day because of their skin color. WHITE PEOPLE HAVE TO DEAL WITH SHIT TOO. I have to deal with shit like being harassed by uneducated racists like you that think they're "standing up" for "non privileged" races by making a huge deal about race (PS that's how you make racism worse). It's also significantly harder for white people to find scholarships, etc. If you're going to pretend that there's not a huge amount of racism against white people, you are just wrong.
4)tanned makeup is not a race. The makeup I use isn't even dark, it's within MY PERSONAL realms of pigmentation that I could easily reach without trying. I CAN BE THIS COLOR, I AM WHITE.
I repeat, GO EDUCATE yourself on what blackface is and do not bother me again with this bullshit.
