Description Richard's birthday is on June 24th, but there is another person here on dA, whose birthday is today - Pfepperon ... and that's my little gift for you, dear! I saw that great picture of Richard on stage on your desktop and decided to draw exactly a stage picture of Richard for you Next time I'll gift you the original drawing

Colouring ths was really really difficult, because lights and shadows were coming from everywhere, Richard had a huge range of colours on his skin - from brown to blue and it took me 4 days and a great deal of patience to finish this, but I had a great motivation. The original backround was black, but I was afraid not to destroy the linework, so I made this sort of simple cloudy background. Someobody, please give me a tip or two for drawing backgrounds!

Materials used - a charcoal pencil for the clouds, the rest is a big set of pro colour pencils, black gel pens and a few drops of white gouache.

The drawing came out pretty dramatic, these clouds really added to the emotion, even though I was working with a huge smile on my face.

Hah, motivation gets things done, ya know I knew you'd like it, so I was like "let's do this!"
It's probably because Richard is... you know... the one I drool over the most, that's why I chose colour this time... Must try to do this more often, because I feel colour is really interesting to work with.

Tell your sis that I have a surprise for her too, well... not for her birthday, 'cause that's too far in the future... but in the very near future
