Description Central Park is the place where everybody gets away from the smogfilled city bustle, everything slows down there. I was having a picnic when a girl playing with a kite came into sight. I’ve never understood what could be so exciting in running with a string in one hand, but she looked so pleased with her toy that I really enjoyed watching her. It even looked like a flying bird.

This single, minimalist image reminds me of those smiling faces all around, my favourite salad, a blanket, the setting sun and the silhouette of the skycrapers with a faint buzz from the distance.

At first (looking at the thumbnail) I thought it was a bird two. Nicely balanced and composed image. The juxaposition (and the scales of each) between the kite and the city works well. Yeah I've been to NY a few times. I think if you get bored walking around NY there is something wrong.

Yeah, NY.. I couldn't define it in mere words, I had equally neg. and positive experiences, but the outcome was.. well, interesting
I'm sure you can be bored of walking.. but CP is the place to go for a rest then

you make a very piont. Yeah the poverty I saw in the States was pretty hard to deal with. Australia is by no means prefect but in the cities it's not something that is in your face and we have a better social security system.

Not just poverty (mainly homelesses, the same as in Washington or even in Miami) but the general modesty that reveals people there. I mean.. the lods of rubbish on the streets (they put their stuffed sacks right even on the side-walk) in Manhattan also.. and the living standard in the districts (for instance in China Town, looked like a huge mess). NY is a melting pot and it was nice to experience how it does look like in real life.. but.. I don’t miss at all. I’m sure living in Australia cannot be compared with living in the States.. I heard great things about.

I guess that's the good thing about visiting a place you can stay for as long as you like or need. Have you ever visited a place where you could actually see ourself moving to and living if your circumstances were different?
