Code's Assault Arc
Momoshiki's soul appeared for him as time stopped, and mocked him for thinking Amado's drugs would stop the Kāma from extracting. He took control over Boruto's body, and continued fighting Code, as well as Naruto and Shikamaru when they arrived. He attempted to kill Naruto, but was surprised to see Kawaki absorbing his attack with a new Kāma. Using Isshiki's jutsu, Kawaki fought Momoshiki with the intent to kill him, even if it also killed Boruto. Reawakening, Boruto agreed with Kawaki's assessment, and pushed his father out of the way, allowing Kawaki to strike him through his chest.
