Description

Kawaki and Boruto argued over each other's actions, Kawaki insisting that what he was doing was for Naruto's protection. He deduced that someone must have influenced Code for him to refrain from taking revenge on him, and wanted to leave with Code to negotiate with them. Boruto, who wanted to protect Kawaki, disagreed, and began fighting Code while Kawaki watched, until Boruto began tapping into the Kāma more deeply. To Kawaki and Code's shock, Boruto retained full control of himself. Boruto told Kawaki he thought it was due to Amado's drugs, which Kawaki found to be unreliable. As Boruto was able to pressure Code, Kawaki decided not to go with him, explaining his only goal was to aid Naruto. He explained to Boruto the nature of Code's Claw Marks, and was surprised by Boruto's collapse.
Kawaki feared Boruto was having side effects from Amado's drug, but he suddenly got up as Momoshiki, who proceeded to attack Code. He attempted to use Kawaki as a hostage, but Momoshiki was able to separate them with a Spiralling Bullet hitting Code. Kawaki tried fighting him, but had to be saved by Naruto and Shikamaru's arrival. Kawaki begged Naruto to flee, fearing his death. Naruto refused and prepared to fight. When Code took Shikamaru hostage, Momoshiki decided to kill Naruto, also a threat to him. Kawaki put himself between them, and absorbed Momoshiki's Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, revealing himself to have a Kāma once again.
As Kawaki tried to make sense of this development, he turned his attention back to Momoshiki. Quickly adjusting to Isshiki's techniques, Kawaki quickly began pressuring him. When it became clear that Kawaki planned to kill Momoshiki, and by extension Boruto, Naruto stepped in, demanding that this stop. Kawaki reaffirmed that Momoshiki's resurfacing couldn't be ignored as he was a threat to everyone. Boruto, who regained consciousness, agreed with Kawaki. Telling his new brother he trusted him, he held down Momoshiki's influence, letting Kawaki stab him through the chest.
