And yes, omigoodness, this is definitely my favorite final fantasy game.
The characters, the story, the gameplay, the sidequests, the design, the music--- i love it all
DEFINITELY worth your.. what, $12? i pretty sure you could find it on Amazon for around that price

If you have a droid, aparantly you can (legally) download PS1 final fantasies emulators on to it! My friend just downloaded FFVII on his droid and i was watching him play today :'D
But yes. FFIX is magical, and in my opinion, the TRUE final fantasy...

Never heard of Heroes of Light nor Ring of Fate. Have no interest in FFX-2.
XII looks darling, but FFX has ruined my faith in games past IX, lol
I've played...
FFVI (still in the beginning-ish), FFVII (My childhood <3), FFIX (One of the best freaking asdffhs), FFX (...), FF Tactics Advance (suuupaa cute strategy RPG-- lots of battles)
I remember renting Crystal Chronicles when i was little, but i barely remember anything from it, so i can't count that.
Personally, i just kind of hate Enix. lol, but i guess that's just me. Lol, i'm such a downer.
But i would definitely recommend FFVII and FFIX to you <3

Heroes of Light is very cutesy, but I'm not very far into it. Ring of Fates was...okay. 
Never played VI, ALWAYS wanted to play VII :0
Oh yeah, I forgot I had Tactics xD It's just that I'm stuck on it.

There's too much i don't like about FFX, and i won't get into it because i'm such a downer xP (it's true, i can go on forever about what i don't like about this game >3>)
lol--- the only things i really liked about it was i guess the fighting was good (except for boss battles, i pretty much hate them all) and.... Wakka was funny. i like the music too, for the most part.
LOL, i should look into those games, maybe i'll like them C:
And yeah, i haven't finished tactics either. I pretty much JUST figured out how to learn moves >__> and i'm almost on my last crystal. I'm thinking of restarting but i'm so faarr....
LOL, not really interested in Kingdom Hearts either. It may just be the fanbase, but also because of the fact that they took some of my favorite Final Fantasy characters and stereotyped them into whatever they wanted. But i can't really say much, i haven't really played the game: i only played Chain of Memories. And the gameplay was fun, but i had no idea how to do stuff, lolol, but i guess it's been a while. I might play it so i can have a fair opinion on it (same reason on why i played FFX, lol)

Yeah, the fighting and music were good, they ruined it in X-2 >< The worst battle for me was that dragon thing you have to fight on top of the airship...took me months to beat it...
Lol, yeah I wouldn't restart if I was that far. But it is a really hard game :0 I'm only on like the third place...
jkhbukgbhuk I hated Chain of Memories! >< Absolutely horrible, I wouldn't judge the kingdom hearts series on that one game,lol. Although yeah, I know people were upset about how they portrayed final fantasy characters in the game. But when I played I fell in love with the characters and storyline (and yes, parts made me cry). It's really good <3 And yeah, the fanbase can get annoying at times, esp with all the yaoi pairings people create, ALL the time O.O Even though there are already pairings in the game, sorta...lol

Yeah, i've heard that about Chain of memories, so i don't know. But like.. yeah, people are annoying about Kingdom Hearts and how amazing it is... I don't know, i just kind of wish they would shut up about it, lol
