Hyrule Warriors on the 3DS is an extremely stressful game.

But not in a "Season 1 of Telltale's Walking Dead" kind of way, but in a "Herding Cats Through a Rock Concert" kind of way.

The technical limitations of the 3DS means that there's plenty of pop-ins, with mobs suddenly disappearing and re-appearing, so you never know how many mobs are actually in the area. Kill a group, only for another 20 to suddenly appear in their place. You're stood in the same spot for minutes at a time, mashing the same attacks with no real indicator of progress: Are you actually whittling down the enemy forces? Or do they infinitely respawn and you're just wasting your time?

Even if you do finally clear an area and move on, 5 minutes later the area that you just cleared/liberated is taken over again.

Enemy troops teleport in out of nowhere all over the map with no explanation, and everyone's like: "Where'd they come from?" "I dunno, but we gotta take em out." That explains nothing!

Without a hint of irony, after the 5th time this happens, one of your allies says: "This is getting tiring." Much meta. So iron. Wow.

Your AI allies are stoopid.
