this is my submission for 's contest about the "best" of the hunger gamesnow, i love Gale, but he is by no means perfect. He's not fighting for the same reasons as katniss; he has always acknowledged his state of oppression and hated his oppressors and fights for his own freedom. He is a true rebel, the "best" rebel. Katniss fights for others, for peeta namely. Gale wants others to live in freedom as well, but that's not why he fights. He fights because he hates his oppressors and he wants freedom for himself. He wants to "make the score even", do to them as they have done to him.
So that's why he's my choice: he's the best rebel
he has good intentions, a strong sense of justice and will/passion to fight for the change he desires. He's loyal and determined and truly care about what he's fighting for. However he really has no limit on what he will do for freedom, which can be a good thing occasionally but usually it ends in even more destruction. He has both light and dark inside of him, but he is working towards good despite the darkness.

Nice job! The muscles are good and the expression is amazing. I liked gale but I sort of saw him as a jerk because of the way he acted when Katniss brought up kissing. I got the idea he only wanted her for kissing and release. But we all know how it turned out in the end.

oh yes! the movie was FANTASTIC! very close to the book. I loved seeing liam's face while he was watching katniss kiss peeta, he did a wonderful job

I had your drawing because it's wonderful way to represent Gale and because I like how you described him. You have right: he 'might' (for me) be the best rebel in the trilogy. I never saw him like that and I just focused on how Gale can have a really dark side in him. Now, maybe I'll give him another chance (because I like him too)
