If you have been to Little India then you couldn't have missed this iconic coffee shop where folks hang out for a chat over a cuppa. Strong and wicked local black brew. When were you here?
Little India is full of surprises every corner you turn. There is always something to sketch.

I've been there in february. But before I came to Singapore I had been in the rainforest in Sri Lanka for six months, so the city was quite a shock for me. But Little India seemed a bit more 'normal' to me, so I loved hanging out there : )
But all in all I have to say, that I was positively surprised by Singapore as a whole! It definitely IS a huge city, no doubt about it, but nontheless it's so green! I loved the fact that due to the tropical climate there were huuuuge jungle trees everywhere Oh and the botanical garden was freaking amazing.

Hi
Sorry, I have been busy. Didn't access deviantart for many weeks.
Singapore is a city that is constantly transforming itself. I love Little India for its multi colours though wish it is not as it is today. Kinda clean up and sterile. Well, same goes to Botanic Garden. I prefer its former state when it has not too many concrete jostling with its native habitats; the greens, the birds and the insects. Now, we have recently another green attraction that is Gardens by the Bay. A created garden and artificial in that sense of the word but nevertheless a huge attraction. Will and Kate visited that place when they were in Singapore last week.

Hey! Sorry, I just never really took the time to answer. I can't tell how the garden has been before but I was under the impreswion that pretty much the whole city was quite clean and 'sterile' as you said. But if it really is permanently transforming it might return to that state all by itself, who knows! C:
What do you think about the Gardens by the Bay, do you like the place?

I hardly assess my account. Still wondering what the heck I am doing here.
Frankly I have not been to Gardens by the Bay except for one evening when I do a stroll with my brother-in-law around there. To me, this place is another of the tourist attractions. Much for commercial reasons, the tourist dollar. So what they have very rare and exotic plants there. I am not impressed. Well, this is me talking for myself. But for a tourist this is one of the newest attractions you have to visit if you are in Singapore. If not, then you have not been to Singapore.
I like the rural side of Singapore. Ha, it is an endangered species now. Give another several years more, it will be extinct.
