The Moorchild... Saaski/Moql...I felt the need to do a bit of fanart for this book. When I was a kid, and was feeling something of a changeling myself I found the Moorchild...
I really admire Saaski, and since I reread the book recently, I wanted to draw her- this is one of two sketches that I came up with. I wanted to draw her happy, because even though in the book she gets to live her life, she never felt like a very happy character to me...
Anyway, there she is.

I mostly didn't draw a bagpipe because I doodled this in class and didn't have a reference. Also, in the book she mentioned several times playing with the "chanter"(?), which she separated from the bag. I'm not really sure what those look like either, but I made it into a pipe for her to play....
