With two votes here's a Naoto X Reader.

The game and anime have been out for a while but mild SPOILER ALERT anyway.

This takes place after Naoto joins the team, but before Nanako is kidnapped.

Third Person POV:

"So Mr. (L/N) how does it feel to win an award for inventing cold fusion?" The reporter asked a boy with (H/L/C) hair, (E/C) eyes, and a Yasogami High uniform. "I didn't invent cold fusion. I only came up with a mathematical formula that proves cold fusion is possible, but not viable until the proper equipment is available." "Well it was enough to get you accepted to Tokyo University. Though our sources tell us that this isn't the first time you've been offered a chance to study there. Why did you pass up the chance to go?" His face remained the same through the entire interview. "It wasn't the right time for me to go. Now if you don't mind I have studying to do." The boy walked off, and the five day forecast came on the screen.

The next day Narukami(Persona4 player character), Yosuke, and the others were gathered at the Junes food court to do their home work, and discuss the investigation. "Any of you catch the news last night?" Yosuke asked looking like he had something important to go with that question. "I'm betting you think the guy from our school that was on will be targeted next." "Got it in one Chie." "Should we try to watch him like last time?" "I was thinking just that." "Who the heck is he anyways?" Kanji asked after finishing his fries. "He's a senior named (F/N)(L/N), and from what I've gathered he only goes to school and straight home everyday. None of the other seniors know much about him." "How do you know so much about him Naoto-Kun? You have a crush on him or something?" Rise asked in a teasing tone. Naoto turned a little pink, but maintained her cool. "No, I just knew that this would come up so I went ahead, and looked into it." "Well then two of us should tail him on his way to school, and on the way home." "It might be good if someone watches him during lunch, and after class lets out before he goes home." Naoto added. "I've talked to him a few times before in the library so it shouldn't be suspicious."

~Time Skip~

Over the next few days (F/N) was under near constant surveillance. Midnight was approaching, and it was raining hard outside. As usual Narukami was ready to see if anything would appear on the Midnight Channel. "WELCOME EVERYONE TO MIDNIGHT CHANNEL PRODUCTIONS!" There in full color was (F/N) infront of a large building wearing something similar to what a game show host would wear. "Thanks for tuning in everybody! We've got an excellent line up for all of you to enjoy!" The screen closed in on (F/N)'s face, and Narukami noticed he looked a little yellow. "There's comedy, tragety, a little romance, and of course loads of ACTION!" "It almost looked like he was changing color as he named them off." "All that and more! Don't forget after the kiddys are off to bed we have a special edition of 'Midnight Channel After Dark', and you know it's gonna be good! So don't touch that dial!" The midnight channel faded as (F/N) started running into the building.

Naoto's POV:

The next day after talking for a moment we all headed into the TV. "Teddie are you getting what I am?" "I think so Rise-chan. I smell something really strong!" "It almost feels like there's more than one person over there." "Well we know he's there, and we're ready so lets get going!" Teddie grabbed Narukami Senpai, and began to walk to where he and Rise detected (F/N) Senpai. We approached the building, and as we walked in a voice came out of no where. "Oh, Whats this? A group of hopeful young people that want to audition for one of my shows? Well I suppose I can give you a chance. Just head down the hallway, and take the door on your left." "We're not here for any lousy show!" "Yeah, we're here to save (F/N)-kun!" We didn't have much of a choice about taking the hallway. Kanji didn't want to do what the voice told us so he opened the door on the right side, and a washtub fell on his head.

Upon entering the door we were directed to, the lights came on to reveal a stage. "Now let's see about comedy!" (F/N)'s shadow appeared on the stage with a microphone, and an over sized paper fan. "W-what the!" Yosuke suddenly materialized next to (F/N). "What do you call someone who thinks with their bottom?" He handed Yosuke the microphone. "I uh I don't know." "Upside down!" *Thwack* "Pfft, Hahahahahaha. Upside down! Hahaha *Snort* Hahahaha." Calm down Yukiko. It wasn't that funny." (F/N)'s shadow smiled. "Now that little lady gets it!" The shadow disappeared, and as we started to leave I noticed a smiley face button on Yukiko's blouse.

"(F/N) you can't go out, and play with those other children any more. Your far too brilliant to waste your time goofing off." "But it's fun to play with them." "No buts, now go study." 'Is it wrong to have fun?'

We continued down the hall, and reached another door. "Drama huh? Well lets see what's going on here." Narukami Senpai said as he opened the door. "You there boy! It's your turn!" Narukami and (F/N)'s shadow appeared on a screen in the room. "Is it me or is (F/N)-kun's shadow blue?" "I'm pretty sure it's blue Rise." The area on the screen changed into an ally. The shadow fell to it's knees, and held a dummy to his chest. "NOOOOOOOOO! (Girl Name) don't die on me!" He looked up to Narukami, and began to cry. "Dude your sister just got shot! How can you just stand there like nothing happened!?" The shadow remained on the screen while Narukami Senpai reappeared where he was before. "You are one cold guy you know that. I can only imagine all the drama you could stir up." This time a button with a frown on it appeared on Narukami's coat.

*Crying* "(F/N) stop that crying right now. If you have time to cry you have time to study!" "B-but Mr. Meow isn't moving." "I said study, that cat was a nuisance anyway." 'Is it wrong to cry?'

"How many more doors are there?" Teddie whined as the third door came into view. "Now for something with a bit more action." There was a bright flash, and I found myself in a cage wearing a dress. "What's going on?" I heard Chie ask. I looked up to see her in a suit of black and red armor. "Do not worry princess I shall save thee from the Queen of Phantasmal Evil!" The two of us turned to see (F/N)'s shadow. This time it was red, and wearing pink armor. After about three minutes of them pretending to fight we were returned to where we were. "Lady you catch on quick, and Naoto-chan way to look concerned." We both looked down. Chie got a volcano button, and I got a heart button.

"How could you lower yourself to their level? Your too above them to be getting into fights!" "But they were saying bad things about you." "No excuses. Now go get cleaned up, and get back to studying." 'Is it wrong to care?'

We came to a stop at a large sealed door. "Hmm, Yukiko Senpai could you touch the part of the door with the smile on it?" As she did the sound of a lock being undone could be heard. Narukami, Chie, and I also put our hands on the door, and it opened. As we headed down what we assumed was the last hallway different things were playing in the background.

"Wow she's cute!" "It's wrong to care." "Maybe she'll be my friend." "It's WRONG to have fun!" "She probably wouldn't want to have anything to do with me." "IT'S WRONG TO CRY!"

"How does it feel to win an award for inventing cold fusion?" "IT FEELS FREAKIN AWESOME!" "It's wrong to have fun." "Though you would know I didn't invent cold fusion if you weren't incompetent!" "It's WRONG to care!" "Why did you pass up the chance to go?" "I can barely hold a conversation with people my own age now. How do you think a seven year old me would survive at Tokyo U?" "IT'S WRONG TO CRY!"

As that last bit finished we entered a large room. "Come play with us!" (F/N)'s shadow said. His invitation directed to (F/N) who was standing in the middle of the room. "No I have to get out of here." The shadow changed blue. "But we're so lonely." "I don't care how you feel. Now go away." Now his shadow was pink. "But you might figure out how to tell her you like her!" "I have no idea what your talking about." Red. "THE HELL YOU DON'T!" None of us could believe our eyes as the shadow split into four. "We know 'cause we're you, and your US!" "NO! Your not.." "(F/N) Senpai DONT SAY IT!" "YOUR NOT ME!"

Third Person POV:

The four shadows started to laugh hysterically, as (F/N) passed out. "Your right, now we're us, and now we can have fun!" Teddie and Kanji managed to get (F/N) to safty, as the others got ready to fight. "I'm sorry we have to stop all of you." "I'M NOT!" "Be nice they did say they want to help us." "We can't let them stop us from being free!" The four shadows changed into floating masks. "Rise what can you tell us about these things?" Narukami asked while trying to fend off the red shadows attacks. "The yellow one represents joy, and it looks like it throws out buffs. Blue is sorrow, and it debuffs. Pink is love, looks like it heals. And red is hate, no surprise it deals heavy damage.
"This is FUN!" "Just leave me ALONE!" "I LOVE you all!" "Burn in HELL!"

Yellow gave Yosuke a speed buff. "YELLOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" "He didn't look like he was having fun!" "STOP HELPING THEM YOU MORON!" As the fight went on the four shadow seemed less unified. "WHY DID YOU HEAL THE BEAR!?" "How could I not heal the bear? "Whats going on with them?" "Senpai (F/N)'s emotions were bottled up for a long time. Now that their free, their out of control, and clashing with each other." "BURN LITTLE ONE!" Naoto was cornered and couldn't get out in time, but to everyones surprise the pink shadow took the hit. "WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?" "I have to maintian my existence." It turned around and winked at Naoto. After the pink shadow took the hit for Naoto, the blue one blocked a hit for Yosuke, and yellow did the same for Chie. "I don't want anyone to get hurt." "This isn't fun any more." "THATS IT I'M FINISHING THIS NOW!" Red began charging a massive amout of energy, but was interrupted when (F/N) drove his fist in it's face.

(F/N)'s POV:

"Enough, all of you. I refuse to allow this pathetic display to continue any longer!" The four of them turned back into me. "I know you four are me. Your the emotions I've denied." I put my hand on Joy's shoulder. "You just want to have fun, and make sure every one else does too. Blue you've been weighed down with all my fear, and loss for too long. Pink I'm sorry I forgot about you, and I'll do my best to get US situated." I gave Red the biggest hug I could. "You don't hate them or anyone else for that matter. The one I hate most is our self. Hate for holding back, for hiding, and not living up to my true potential. Not the one mother and father saw, but the one I know is there. I'll do my best from now on, and show them it's not wrong to care!" Now lets go home. My four shadow peaces nodded. As they faded away a glowing card fell into my hand.

~Time Skip~

"Senpai it's good to see you again!" Naoto yelled as she ran up beside me. "It does feel good to be up after being stuck in bed." I looked down at her, and she quickly looked away from me. "S-Senpai, Umm I noticed a repeating occurrence in your shadow area. I was cast as a princess you were trying to rescue at one point, and though it seemed random your pink shadow healed me more often than not. It even saved me from an attack. W-why is that?" She looked back up at me and her face couldn't be anymore red. "Well I suppose it has to do with me l-liking you... a lot." Now I was red. "Really!?" "To be honest I thought you were a cute girl before you let everybody know you were a girl. I became interested in you when we first met, and I did a bit of research into you under the excuse that you might be an academic threat later." We stopped, and I took hold of her hands. "I learned that remarkably adorable incredibly intelligent impossibly complex young women like yourself are my weakness, and perhaps you would go out with me?" She hugged me, and I had to fight to keep my nose from bleeding. "I would love to go out with you."
