He whispered, “I love you.”She didn’t reply
She went to her mirror
And started to cry
“Was it something I said?”
He questioned and frowned
She only went silent
And looked at the ground
“It wasn’t my fault!”
He started to say
As she neared the door
To just get away
“If I would have known…”
He let out a sigh
“…I wouldn’t have gone…”
He started to cry
“Please, try to forget!”
He pleaded once more
She put on her coat
And opened the door
“I know that you love me
And that I love you
And if only I’d known
I’d still be here with you
Before I had left,
I’d promised I’d ring
I left you a message
Its not the same thing
But if I had known
That the plane would go down
I would have called sooner
Or stayed here in town…”
He walked to her side
And linked hands with hers
She only ignored him
And reached for her purse
He whispered, “I love you.”
Her only reply:
“Why did you leave me?
How could you die?”

You know... technically there are only like... 5 stories in the world anyway.. the rest are just variations on the theme... So hah! there's no such thing as being cliche and stealing an idea when there's only 5 of them anyway!

Well. After being through 3 college literature courses, this just seems cliched and stale. It's been done before countlessly. Hell, I did it back when I was 13.
