that is a very beautiful photograph, it is very crisp and clear. the subject is sad but remember all governments allow things like this to happen, it's sad but it is part of life.

Actually it's quite different in America. America is much richer than Russia as a country. Not to mention, there are no homeless women or children in America on the streets, and especially not homeless women WITH children on the streets. They're in shelters.
And nice shot. I always wonder hwo the subjects of these random portraits react when having their picture suddenly taken by a stranger with a fancy camera xD lol.

A powerful picture.
Homelessness occurs in numerous different countries; it's never concentrated in just one. All we can do is help in ways we can.

russians have a different outlook on things then americans... americans criticise their country, russians feel responsable for theirs, thats why he said that... is a one for all and all for one mentality that ( obviously ) you bloody americans dont get.... and thats why america has the worst kind of poverty!
I would rather be poor in mexico where people care, then in america where they say, "homelessness is a problem that we cant fix, so lets just hop in our SUV ( the price of which would feed a small nation for a year ) and go to wendys and get fat to solve our problems"

I agree with you. In the American capitalist free-market economy, it's all about getting ahead and stepping on as many people as you can on your way to the top. We don't care about our homeless, it's true. I look at the people in the huge cars on the road, and am disgusted when I see only one person in them (which is most of the cars being driven). I hate fast food, and I hate living here. I hate that our supposed "Land of the Free" has come to be nothing more than a land of excess and hipocracy. And if I could do something about it, I would, in a heartbeat. But I'm only seventeen years old. By the rights of my country, I'm still just a child. I don't have a job, I can't vote, and I know almost nothing about living in the world outside of Austin, Texas. I do what I can, though. Whenever I see someone out on the street, with a sign that says, "Homeless and Hungry, every little bit helps," I stop, and I give them whatever I can spare. I know that's not enough to stop world hunger, but that's all I can do, for now. I only hope that someday, I can make a bigger difference.

Thats the most ineresting thought (comment) i ever heard here on DA
I'm really worried by this social problem all over the world... and it's interesting to listen to the opinion of someone same age as me but from another country...
I don't think that i was born in the wrong country, but i feel shame for my country.... as you said, we can do nothing yet ourelves, but we can unite and together try to solve this problem. WE just need some god and strong leader. I don't feel that power in myself yet, but who knows....
Aran, what can you say about this problem in your country?

this is one of the best pieces of art I have seen in a while, you obviously can connect with people my friend, her expression is not of fear or embarresment, it is pure, and inviting, it makes me want to sit down and hear her story, to give her support, to help..
