Description
So I haven't been very active recently but it's mainly down to my HNC starting this year so I have so much work to do it's unbelievable and when I'm not doing work I'm trying to work on the pages of Black Wolf. With all this going on I now also have to find a term time job which takes up more of my free time. So working on personal things at the moment isn't particularly easy.
However this one I've had to make time for, it's a gift for my Mum for her wedding. Shh all who know me personally, she doesn't know about it ^^. My plan is to get this put on a nice big canvas while there is an offer on and hopefully it'll get sent out to the house by the time she comes back from her honeymoon at least.
This is the third time I've drawn this piece, the first I really liked but lost it when my hard drive crashed, the second I got halfway though and thought of this and scrapped it. I decided to include the Aurora Borealis, since it has been something my Mum has always wanted to go and see. Also I wanted to represent how far both my Mum and her to-be have come in life and how finally their individual struggles through thick and thin have blossomed into something far more beautiful than any words can describe, hence the lotus. They have to grow from the murky depth of a pond or river where sunlight can't reach through the think layers of dirt and mud. Still they push through and rise from the murk to bloom on the water's surface.
I think sleep deprivation is making me poetic xD On that not I'll stop rambling and let you get on with your lives ^^
