Description

The morning was calmingly entering the day, the wind blowing on the early blooming plants and vegetation, covering everything in colored petals.

The mares had decided to join Simon on his little trip towards Lake Carson and, while Nina and Brie seemed to be quick to feel comfortable around the young stallion, the older bay mare, Martha, was still quite standoffish towards him.
"What's the plan then" She demanded to know, keeping her head high and her feet away from the water, as if she was watching over the heard herself. "Do you even have a plan?"
Simon, on the other hand, completely oblivious to her demeanour, only had eyes for Nina at this moment. She was gorgeous on his eyes and there was something in her, a softness that made him want to get closer.
Martha stomped on the ground with her back leg, seeing him get in the water next to the younger mare, almost touching noses with her. "Are you even listening to me, we're gonna lose the whole day with your shenanigans" She snorted, hoofed at the ground. It finally caught Simon's attention.
"What, we're good, there's no danger here" He raised his head out the water to look at her. "And if there were I'll protect you, relax, christ, drink some water, grab a snack"
It didn't seem to be good enough for Martha, as she just stared at him, keeping her chin high and her ears pinned back. Simon sighed and hoofed at the water as a protest but then pushed himself to trot out of the lake "Alright" He huffed at the older mare, as he showed off trotting around her "Grass Valley it is, couple days out, but it'll be amazing for the summer. 'S that good enough for you Miss?" He stopped in front of her, the other two mares had gained attention by this point in their little quarry as well but Simon's energy wasn't aggressive at all, just, childish, challenging a little bit but overall playful. The young stallion had so much energy in him, and found the situation entretaining.
He was used to travel solo, pace himself, but this was a part of being a leader that he really had to learn if he wanted to succeed. Find some sort of balance and keep everybody happy. "And you girls, have you ever been that far west?" He asked turning to look at Nina and Brie.
