Happyhappy funtimes.

Includes Hugh and Nate's teams, because they're as relevant to this story as Yume is~ Would've included Hilbert (Hilda's twinbrother) as well, but since he hadn't been introduced yet, it would've mostly been confusing.. and this thing is full enough as it is. He will be mentioned in the death recaps below though.
Does also not include Pierrotte, the Swanna and Lass, the Dewgong. They were captures in the game, both of which died (one right before the Elite 4, the other during the Elite 4), but to include them in the comic I'd have to jump through so many hoops and it would just made the comic even longer, while their characters would still be very lacking. Their points of death were also poorly timed for the comic and moving them around would've caused even more problems, so they were eventually cut.

Includes Lenny, the Sweaddle and Kelly, the Scraggy for completion's sake. They died on page 8 and page 25 respectively.

Patricia, the Unfezant is our first survivor. In game she was permanently boxed in Driftveil. In the comic Yume decides to give her to Hugh there, as Patricia seems to hate him a lot less, and he could really use a Fly-er at that point, as they split up again.

Sniffy, the Snivy and Joey, the Rattata:
In Driftveil, after Yume receives Zed (N's Zorua), she decides to go out and train with her Sync with his help. Zed tries to explain to Yume how she would use a FocusedSync properly (something Kiki showed her before in Nimbasa). It turns out that the place they chose to train is disturbing a group of wild Marill, that, when Yume doesn't leave when they ask her to, decide to attack her. When Joey takes a bad cut, Yume panics, and through the FocusedSync she was testing out, causes Sniffy to attack and accidentally kill one of the Marill. The shock snaps the both of them out of the FocusedSync, but it enrages the other Marill into unleashing their power onto Sniffy, killing him and knocking out Yume. The impact through the Sync kills the already weakened Joey as well. Paper (the Crobat), having a rather weak Sync with Yume, manages to withstand the initial impact and stay concious. She's able to Fly Yume to a hospital.

Val, the Watchog:
After recovering and mourning Sniffy and Joey's deaths, Yume chooses to continue to try and get stronger by taking on the Driftveil gym. She asks Val to help fight one more time. Val accepts and resolves to fight like Sniffy would have. Gymbattles should be a risk-free experience, at least as long as everybody plays by the rules. During the battle, Clay's Sandslash goes into a rage when he sees that Yume is one of those filthy Sync-users. His understanding of a Sync is that it takes away the will of the Pokemon and they are forced to fight by her whims, so he tries to attack Yume instead. Val protects Yume from the Sandslash's attack, but it costs her her life. Yume snaps and has Flynn, through her Sync, kill the Sandslash in return.

Lulu, the Lucario:
Colress' Espeon managed to track down where Nate went to after he split up from Yume and Hugh. Colress' plans require Yume and Hugh alive for a little while, but after he gets into a fight with Ghetsis, who wants something, anything done about these kids, right now, Colress decides to pay Nate a visit. When he manages to lure him away from the open and faces him, he very quickly discovers that Nate doesn't have a Sync at all. Great, then he won't even have to use his own Pokemon! All he has to do is use his regular ForcedSync on Nate's Pokemon instead, who will have nothing to stop him from doing so. He takes control of Nick (the Arcanine) and Lulu and turns them on Nate, who has no defense against his Pokemon. When Colress shifts most of his focus to Lulu, Nick manages to snap out of the Sync and is forced to take out Lulu before he kills the, by now knocked out Nate. Colress takes Nick with him back to HQ for his troubles. Nate is taken to the hospital when Hilbert finds him. Nick is handed down to one of the grunts in Team Plasma, of whom Yume eventually manages to steal him back.

Mani, the Tepig:
Yume thinks she's finally figured out where to find the Team Plasma HQ (and by extension, Spot, the Purrloin of Hugh's little sister), and drags Hugh with her in a rush to leave Nate and Hilbert behind as they'd only try to talk sense into them anyway. Hugh stops her and finally demands she talk to him normally, as he can't even take Mani out of her Pokeball anymore around Yume because of their SharedSync. Yume doesn't know how to and falls silent. Kiki and Zed convince Hugh to let Mani out of her ball anyway. They finally discover they can communicate through their SharedSync; through emotions instead of words. It allows Yume to show Hugh what she's so scared of and why she's been avoiding him the way she has been, and in return it allows Hugh to calm her fears, so she's finally willing to fully open up to him, which in turn makes Mani's Sync make her feel like she can put the world on fire.
With their stronger Syncs they are determined to take down Team Plasma and get Spot back. However they appear to have been lured into a trap by the grunts. The grunts finally have permission to dispose of the two, as Colress has gotten all from them he needed. Hugh and Yume are actually strong enough to take the grunts on this time however, and Yume manages to take down the smaller two with Flynn. The smarter one of the grunts realises they don't match their strength anymore, and he tries to distract Hugh - succesfully. He manages to catch his attention long enough for Mani to hesitate when the Weavile dashes at her and takes her out.
Hugh and Yume fall unconscious, heavily injured, but thanks to Mani being able to partly block out her Sync before she got hit, still alive. Nate and Hilbert figured out where they ran off to just in time to stop the last standing grunt to finish his work. They take out the grunt and Fly Hugh and Yume to a hospital.

Danya, the Haxorus and Hugh:
Turns out there is a way to get rid of a Sync: kill the Source, which, for Hugh, Yume and Elya, was Mani. Losing her Sync snaps Elya out of the state she was in, but Hugh and Yume don't find out until they go see her later, so they decide to continue fighting, despite losing Mani. Flynn reactivates their SharedSync and they head for the actual Team Plasma HQ, this time with the help of Nate and Hilbert. The two of them distract the grunts, while Hugh and Yume look for the Source of most of Team Plasma's Syncs, which turns out to be a Magneton, locked up in the HQ. Yume uses her Sync to force an Explosion out of him, leaving the grunts with a lot of Pokemon that no longer obey them. When Hugh and Yume split up, Yume finds Colress in the HQ, who doesn't seem to care for her presence or her trail of destruction at all, and practically hands her Spot back before taking off. With that surprisingly succesfull mission, they return to the hospital where Elya is at and give her her Purrloin back.
It doesn't take long until they hear what Colress' actual plans were. Partly with the information he got from Hugh and Yume, Colress found a way to transfer over someone else's Sync to his own, and used it to take control of the champion's Pokemon while the Shadow Triad controls the Elite 4's. As it's extremely difficult to fight a Sync when you don't have one yourself, and Hugh and Yume are the only ones left with a Sync now that the champion and Elite 4 have been captured, they feel like they have no other choice but to try and stop Colress on their own, so they Fly off to the Elite 4 plateau. Once there, they realise that now that the Plasma guys are using a direct Sync, hurting their Pokemon will finally hurt them as well, and they manage to take out the Shadow Triad.
Colress finally cares enough to face them in a serious fight, and significantly hurts them, but Yume and Hugh manage to take down some of Iris' Pokemon that he's controlling, hurting him too. They seem to be doing alright, until Flynn is hurled across the room, out of their Sync range, breaking their connection. Colress realises the chaos he's caused and quickly commands Iris' Haxorus to attack Hugh. He hits him with his tail, slamming him against one of the pillars, breaking Kiki's Pokeball in the impact. Hugh falls down bleeding. Yume panics and tries to wake him up. When Flynn gets back into their Sync range, she manages to get him conscious enough to use the Sync, allowing her to force him to keep breathing through it, but she now has to deal with the pain of his injury while attempting to take down Iris' Haxorus.
Zed and Danya come up with a plan where Danya pretends to be the Zoroark under Illusion so the Haxorus will come close to try and break it. She can then attack him point blank. It works and severely damages the Haxorus, but it's not quite enough to take him out. He retaliates, killing Danya. Through her Sync, Yume and her other Pokemon pass out - except for Paper, who still never got a close enough Sync with Yume. When Colress thinks he's won and turns away, Paper attacks the Haxorus, taking them both out.
Yume later wakes up in the hospital, but she knows she's alone.

I guess you can see this as a very rough summary.. it skips quite a few things, but most of the ending is there at least~ If you still have any other questions about the story or anything else after this, feel free to ask below.

There's still a lot I do love about this story, but drawing it out just takes such an absurd amount of time.. I learned a lot from it though. There's a lot of things I didn't think I could draw before I started this comic that are now actual pages that I did draw. Also learned a lot about writing and designing characters thanks to a whole bunch of awesome people in this community and I want to hug all of you.
I might draw more comics in the future, but I'll shoot for something a whole lot shorter~
