I think Deftones have been pretty consistent in producing good music. It kills me that I haven't seen them live, yet. Everyone I know, doesn't seem to dig them too much.

Well, if your only excuse for not seeing them live, is because yo' peeps don't dig 'em, then I say "screw them". Do yourself a favor and go check them out, even if it means going by your damn-self. Good-times will ensue... I guarantee. They have a great energy live... but hurry, there gettin' older and may not be able to jump around a whole lot longer.

I've had a few opportunities to see them, but timing always warranted one problem or another. Not to mention, I grew up with extremely over protective parents, and going alone was not an option. They're playing in Toronto in May, but tickets are already sold out. I can't seem to catch a break! But when finally I do, I'm certain my body will explode from pure ecstasy.

Well, if it's not too far from ya, you could always go and see if one those shady scalpers are lurkin' about with some "extra tickets", but you'll most likely be raped(price-wise) in the process of gettin' em. If you can afford it, that's one route to get into a sold-out show. Or you could do what I always did and befriend a member(or crew-member) of the band, and get on the guest-list(also to get my artwork to them). If I couldn't afford tickets to a show, I would always show up to the venue a few hours early, track one of them down, be SUPER cool to them(nothing sexual though), and then "WHA-LA"... I'm on the list w/ a +1. 9-times-outta-10 that would work. It never hurts to ask.

Guest list, eh? Lucky you! People always buy tickets to a show and end up having to back out. So, I'm trying to scout people who wanna sell their ticket. All this waiting is giving me a music equivalent version of blue balls (the female kind, that is. Whatever that may be). Granted I'm only 20, I haven't had the privilege of seeing them during their early years. But a Deftones show is still a Deftones show. I'd be lucky if I got to see them at all. Being young has it's flaws.

No, I mean "KNOW". I did some illustrations for a couple of them about 10 yrs ago(man, can't believe it's been that long already) and have hooked up with them several times throughout the years through a mutual friend.
