I particularly like this one, don't quite know why. Just jumps out at me for some reason.Anyways, this was one of those mixed medium efforts again- Color and regular pencil, ink, paint, and pastel. Also cut the matte myself and ended up cutting myself with the blade(I'm clumsy that way). So, the brownish finger-dabs that you see around the background are real blood. Maybe that's why it means something to me.

Thanks! Yeah, besides being a phenomenal drummer, he's a really nice guy too. When I hung out with them all, I'd have to say that he stood out as the most decent and honest one of them all.

Yeah, I know what you mean by "formal". I look at all those portraits of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe, and it nearly puts me to sleep. Don't get me wrong they're all gorgeous, but they're not my cup-o'-tea. I grew up on horror and rock-n-roll, so you won't be seeing me slowin' down anytime soon.
I've drawn my share of "respectable" portraits. Only out of respect for the artist they are of, i.e. the actors and musicians. But, for this particular piece I couldn't go subtle. It's SLIPKNOT for god's sake.
