Aha... It looks almost like a combination of a Circus and Art It must be a great experiment to see such a show
It is , just what you say; sometimes a song, movie or song , but also the mood you are in at that moment,can be a very good inspiration to make a scene for your render Creativity can be found everywhere

I like it to try some different styles, one time i render Fairies, the other time Sci-Fi creatures, and now a couple of She-warriors, ...who knows what i will do the next time

I love Steampunk to, and it is not easy to make it look just the way i have it into my head, but adding some things can make it just the way i wanted it to look. There is many good stock here on DA to add to your picture/render, to make it look just more steampunk
