ShinkaiAnguirus: The Ferocious Primordial Dragon

A member of an ancient species that lived on Iwato Island, Anguirus managed to survive to the modern day where he was awoken and irradiated by the nuclear fallout from the Hydrogen Bomb testings. Anguirus has a lot in common with Godzilla such as both monsters being considerably aggressive. Anguirus can also fire off his own Incandescent Light Beam as a result of his mutations, with his split carapace acting as a sort of heat vent when the monster fires said beam. Anguirus is a truly resilient and durable monster, being able to withstand blasts of Godzilla's Atomic Breath with little harm and being able to heal from seemingly fatal wounds.

Anguirus and Godzilla act extremely aggressive towards each other and often times will attack each other on sight. As much as they hate each other's guts, it's interesting to note that both monsters seemingly have some level of respect for the other and have even teamed up to fight a bigger threat on occasion. Anguirus' classification also has a lot of issues as the monster has been known to attack Humanity but generally the monster keeps to itself.
