Description Download for crappy pencil strokes.

This is something like my interpretation of a coast in Skyrim.

I was actually influenced by the feeling I have when I climb the highest mountains in the land. Trying to run up all these rocks, many times not getting any step further, just running into a border that can't be crossed - it makes these mountains seem like they are as vertical and slick as no being could ever climb them.

Another aspect is the rough climate. Whereas there can beautiful nights with northern lights and the bright sun shining down on Whiterun or the forests around Riften, there will quite likely be heavy snow storms in areas like Winterhold or Dawnstar. Though even these have some beauty, I think. Nevertheless, I wouldn't want to get into such a storm in real life.

Anyway, the title is dragon language and means "Into The Eternal Cold" That's my personal attempt to translate. So please don't be as rough as Skyrim's average weather. :3

Absolutely great piece. I read the description, and the mountains make me feel the same way. Great interpretation!

Phenomenal landscape and atmosphere! Every time I reach the coast in the north, I can hardly overcome my desire to get on one of the ships and sail somewhere... Your painting evoked this feeling in me!

(Whenever I find something that I could do "in real life", but not in the actual game, I get somewhat annoyed. I mean, why can't I sail away? It's real, right? Skyrim is just too realistic for me to handle... )

Thank you so much for taking the time for such a detailed comment(and the fav ^^)!!!

Unfortunately most of these ships won't sail anywhere anymore. Except the ones in Dawnstar and Solitude(the swamps there are amazing when the sun comes through the fog after a heavy rain).

Sailing would be great. But jumping down these rocks next to the highest waterfalls is just amazing! It's something I can actually do in real life. Not that extreme though and I would never dare to do it on slippery stones next to water, but I run down mountains very fast, jumping from rock to rock or just run between them. Every few meters, usually when it gets too fast, I will come to halt and enjoy the surrounding. ^^ Probably that's why I love exploring in those games. XD

And the realism of Skyrim is epic. Though Cyrodiil became another one of my homes as well. But Skyrim is more realistic indeed. And the northern lights! Nothing more beautiful than standing in Markarth, watching these deep blue northern lights.

Oh I envy you so much, the place where you live must be beautiful! You are so lucky to live so close to nature!

Oooo, I have a cool story about the northern lights! The first time I saw them was when I found the first Wuuthrad fragment and became a full-fledged member of the Companions. We just came out of the cave with Farkas, and whoa! The brightest lights all over the sky! Interesting coincidence - worthy of a legend, I thought. Kyne put up her most beautiful lights to celebrate the Dovahkiin.

I actually live in a city. But rather in a fringe, so it's not that far away from the houseless green. ^^

That must have really been amazing! I had my first ones in Markarth, after I spent too much time selling my stuff. XD Not that honorable, but surely amazing. Though that shop has something historical to tell. Once I came out, into bright sunlight and a girl fell down from the stairs above, directly in front of me, screaming. Then she ran away, saying something about her father I didn't understand anymore.
