This is superb....it makes me want to design a whole shadowrun around it! This is really wonderful Cyberpunk ambience. Do you think you could do similar ones that could only be set in the Shadowrun world? I see a lot of art that is either magical, or cyberpunk, but very few which manage to fuse both well. A great example is the cover of Street Magic. Or more detailed 3d renderings of Orks and Trolls.

I've done a couple shadow run commissions. It was the first game I personally ever GM'd.
One of the commissions was even of an ork.

Man, I really really like your work so much!! I don't know how much you're into Shadowrun 4e, but I really feel like your style of art would be so perfect for fleshing out the sixth world in all of our imaginations. Even the pieces you have made that aren't set in shadowrun, I just use them as the sculpting for different matrix nodes, so I hope you don't mind, and thanks a lot cuz I suck at drawing but I got it all visualized in my head.
I feel Shadowrun has really gotten a breath of fresh air into it with 4th edition and is really poised to one day take a place among the wider main-stream pantheon of fictional futuristic worlds because it updates Cyberpunk and translates it to today's zeitgeist better than any other cyberpunk world out there. You probably know of the whole fiasco with the Xbox 360 game, and when I saw the trailers for Deus Ex Human Revolution, I was so mad that that wasn't Shadowrun instead!!
I feel that it's artists like you who could really kick start a grassroots pitch to get a serious game and/or movie of shadowrun made. I just feel we don't have enough "exclusively shadowrun-esque" art out there. A lot of it could just as well be cyberpunk, or might as well be medieval fantasy but not a lot of it is what I'd say could ONLY be shadowrun. It's like, as soon as you put a light saber in a drawing, that little aesthetic queue automatically makes that drawing Starwars....you know what i'm saying? The problem with Shadowrun is that when depicted in the wrong way it ends up just looking like Tolkien fused with Cyberpunk or just plain sappy and cartoony....like many features of the Xbox 360 game (I admit, there were some depictions there that were pretty cool esthetically.) and this is many times true of several artists who have contributed to SR source material. However, the way you depict elements of the 6th world really gives them an edge and is just plain bad-ass.
The other aspect Shadowrun has going against it for being done as a movie is that central to the sixth world is that Native Americans take back half of the U.S. and for today's mainstream America that might be too subversive. However as a game and in the form of just raw artwork, this is just pure aesthetic gold!
So basically what I'm saying is that it would be cool to commision something from you. I don't know your prices and I'm just a musician so I don't got much money, but if you could tell me what you would charge for some SR artwork, then I could figure out if it's do-able on my end.
Just so you get an idea of how I see the aesthetic of the world of shadowrun (and of course how I feel everyone else should see it too!! lol) let me say a little bit more.
Basically what made me fall in love with Shadowrun as a kid was the Elmore cover for the 1st and 2nd edition. The 3rd edition cover makes me wanna puke, and to a lesser extent so does the 4th edition cover but the Anniversary edition saved it and brought it back into the realm of cool. But the over-arching theme I got from that cover which makes me love SR up till today is that it's concept is a refreshingly non-euro-centric, or non-western centric. Granted, a lot of cyberpunk deals with the idea that east asia economically and culturally dominates the world, but the protagonists are always euro-centric...like decker in blade-runner or Case in Neuromancer...the story is always told from his perspective.
Shadowrun does make asian influence very important but the main chunk of the story takes place in the center of NAN (Native American Nations) and the dominant effect on culture at least in Seattle is the native american influence. 4th edition de-emphasizes this slightly, but does so in order to globalize the SR world to more aptly reflect our present world, however you can still see the important native american art has on shadowrun just looking the logo which is modeled after Pacific-Northwest Native art.
When it comes to magic, it is emphasized that the visual and physical practice of magic is very tradition specific, even if the rules for each tradition of magic are almost the same. These means that artistically each magic user would be worlds apart from another magic user from a different tradition in the way that it would be depicted. Metahumans are merely called orks, trolls, dwarfs, elves because the stereo-type of them reminds people of Tolkien races...but in reality they are something totally different...that's why I like using their latin names to refer to them: homo sapiens robustus, ingentis, humilis, nobilis respectively. The discrimination against orks and trolls is readily apparent in a human dominated world.
So essentially what I would be looking for is depictions which displayed different Metahumans of very diverse ethnic backgrounds living in an urban-future-scape filled with cyber-technology, drones and Augmented Reality Overlays but tempered by the earthen aesthetics of magic and traditional cultures which now are not completely under the boot of european oppressors because they now at least have the occult on their side.
Well let me know if this is do-able or at least what you think.
Thanks so much and sorry for being so long-winded but you really got me inspired!

I absolutely agree that it is doable. And I know exactly the image that sucked me into early shadowrun. It was that picture of Lady Tsung, Dodger and Ghost hacking into that terminal that hooked me. Drop me a Note and I'll send you my e-mail and we can make a deal.

Another awesome piece man. The contrast of her stark black suit against the haze in the distance, brilliant.
