Description Humans have been enslaved to the trogs for so long that they do not even know that the shattered ruins they help patrol once belonged to their ancestors. But even so, all the humans of the old kingdom have an almost instinctual memory of the thunderous final charges of the troglodyte heavy cavalry...which the human armies once jokingly called the Bacon Brigade.

Sometimes, in the quiet, still, ruins, you can still hear the ghosts of the fallen defenders...but it is hotly debated whether they are laughing or crying....

Enjoy, and let me know what you think

Just wicked and cruel in such an awe inspiring masterpiece! great job, composition and innovation on a suid.

yuo have created a monster indeed, and is by all means the right man to cultivate and bring one to life! "snort, Git... down dere... near da head of the tusker, NOW...!"

Irv, you make me want to pull out some old pics of these real beast to show everyone just how nasty and dangerous they really can be, but I am afraid the gore factor would be to much for Deviantart.

LOL, awesome. You're right about the use of wild boar as a cavalry mount. I'm glad I could inspire something like this.

Actually, it was inspired by a jaguar wong piece and a discussion Charles Walton and I had about the viciousness of warthogs and their use as heavy cavalry. He reminded me of Princess Mononoke and that led me to do this piece.

Oh, and they make the humans walk to keep them close to the tusks...as a reminder...

A giant warthog with elephant type feet? And I figured the walking served multiple purposes. Closer to the tusks and a blatantly subservient position.
