Description The druid known as Lindow follows the totem of Bobcat and unlike many druids, who prefer the cool calm of the forest, she prefers life in harsher, more challenging swamps. While this has made for a hearty defender of nature at its most primal, life in bogs and marshes have left her as not the most social of beings. However, she endures adventure in cities and deep dungeons as long as she can banish and smite unnatural abominations before they can spread out and wreak havoc on nature. Better to do it in the cities, which are already lost causes where nature is concerned.

This is a player's character in an AD&D campaign I am running.

My type of girl.  Rebel without a cause.  Or so it seems to be?

The cause for her is nature.

Beautiful render, great tones and composition. I love the little lights and butterflies. Solemn and lively at the same time.

thank you. It's a fine line. I was worried about it ending up too busy. But I think by keeping the palette simple that helped.

I really liked in the Lord of the Rings movies how you'd see these ruins in the forest, showing that this nature vs. civlization thing has been going on for a long time and sometimes nature wins because nature is more patient. So I added the face statue molding in the swamp water to show that, long ago, civlization had been here, and that may be all that's left. I think it adds history to an image and implies a deeper story than what you see.

I agree. It makes the world that much deeper, and adds an element of mystery. I incorporated something similar into Pocket Empire by setting it in an area that had once been a high level civilization that was wiped out a one to two thousand years prior. I am going to incorporate a hidden civilization or two, as well as ancient artifacts. Lots of ancient artifacts. The first ones will be quest driven. There will suddenly come a need for more powerful jump engines, and there should be plenty of derelict ships out there. Very old derelict ships. And when you are in the mood, we can work up a list and I'll pay you for them!

Oh, by the way, Saturday, May 17th my daughter, my wife, and I will be coming up to Baltimore. They want to go to the Lexington Market. I am hoping we could meet, maybe share a meal.
