Hear my last words, this, my last regret.

This was not easy! This was a 14 hour day of preparation and being bound in REAL rusty barbed wire while maintaining a rigid pose and an arched back. The tips have not been clipped or dulled in any way and there has been NO PHOTOSHOP or any other forms of digital manipulation used here. What you see is not only a 14 hour day of staging and prep, but also days (if not weeks) worth of effort on Adam's behalf. He truly is a master of his craft and I am elated to have been a part of this.

Yes, I recently had my tetanus shot before this image was taken. In fact, it was one of the requirements that the photographer had.

No, I am not in a tremendous amount of pain and I did not sustain any wounds from this other than very few minor scratches.

No, this is not a take on or based on the Silent Hill movie although I can see where that is coming from.

Have you ever said something you regret SO much that you could feel the self-infliction of your own words spuming forth and coming back around to impale you through to the very depth of your core? Trapped amidst the raw suffering of your regret as it immobilizes, ravages and consumes you? The unintentional self-infliction that well-meaning words can cause, when so heinously twisted, pierces one deeply. I'm sure many have experienced something similar that they can relate to.

That is what "Last Regret" means to me, but art is meant to be interpreted by the viewer despite the artist's intent. If you are looking for some positive words of advice to take with this perhaps you should listen to your mother and think before you speak.

Jean-Paul Sartre sums it up nicely in a single sentence: “Words are loaded pistols”.
